For more than a year now, the mainstream media has demonized the Tea Party as a group of white racists.
On September 12, 2010, we set out to see for ourselves if the Tea Party is as monochromatic as most of the media has steadfastly claimed to this day.

He would be jumping on the "political correctness" bandwagon to appease the liberal media.
No one is stopping "people of color" from being part of the TEA party movement, NO ONE. It's an open door and most have been welcomed so long as they are not toublemakers.
Actively recruiting "people of color" is what is wrong with a lot of places now; "color" is placed over "qualifications"...my example, barack obama.
What will be next it will be quotas so Ed Schultz and Olberman won't say bad things about the TEA party movement?
My take is, if we have to go out and recruit them to appease a troublemaking media, then we don't need them and let the talking heads shout "racist" all day long.
There have been black people at all of the TEA party events and even black speakers. So Bob Parks can shove his Affirmative Action TEA plans, no one is stopping "people of color" from joining. The TEA party is about taxes and ideology, not race relations.

"So Bob Parks can shove his Affirmative Action TEA plans, no one is stopping "people of color" from joining." We accuse the left of being devoid of humor while some on our side are just looking for a reason to read somethng into anything.
If you listen to the FIRST LINE spoken in the video, you'd know this dig was directed at the media; not affirmative action"....

If there are no minorities, the media meme is “monochromatic” and “lily white.”
If there are minorities, the meme becomes “tokens”, “Uncle Toms”, “minstrel show”, or worse.
Don’t play their game. You can’t win.

More like “worse”, and you know, we still don’t care and show up anyway.

Dont play their game. You cant win.I respectfully disagree. I live one congressional district south of Nancy Pelosi. I contract for one of the most liberal companies in America. I'm surrounded 24x7 by people who think that I and all conservatives are stupid, racist, sexist homophobes. The alternative to playing their game is often to lay down and take it. I'm not good at that.
I'm white but I know what it feels like to be a lonely conservative. Mr. Parks' video served two purposes. First it provided affirmation. It's good to know, and sometimes you can forget, that there are people out there who feel like you do about things. Second, most leftists I know regard themselves as being quite intelligent and superior in all ways to those of us on the right. Ridicule and irony are effective ways to pop their balloon.

And when that balloon pops, it’s usually followed by a shrill squeal that’s a delight to my conservative ears.
