RE: Plus Audrey could dance
Many people don’t know this, but Anne Hathaway is a trained singer/dancer/actress since high school.
She was originally slated to play the role of Christine in the latest film version of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA but due to scheduling conflicts, the role was given to Emmy Rossum.
Here’s a sample of her dancing (I know not full swing, but still... and yes, that’s her singing voice ) :

Here is her singing QUEEN’s SOMEBODY TO LOVE ( her real voice ) :

Not even close.
Don’t get me wrong. Anne Hathaway is both talented and adorable.
Audrey Hepburn is an icon.
Because he doesn't demand the same kind of salary as say ... Tom Cruise? Maybe?
And actors and actresses.....
Nope.
Our family loved him on ‘Even Stevens’. He was hilarious.
Also recommend Wait Until Dark - excellent movie!
“I enjoy his energy and he is a natural comedian”
I can vaguely recall seeing him on whatever Disney show that was and commenting that he had good timing for a kid. Which makes me wonder, why the heck do they cast him in thrillers and action-adventures instead of comedies?
The answer, like the answer to most Hollywood questions, is probably that executives are morons.
Yeah, my thought exactly! But even in his action/thrillers his natural comedic talent comes out.
Some of my favorites scenes in Transformers is Shia's interaction with his family which are hilarious! Especially his Mom talking about "His special time" still makes me giggle!
It's "Bang for the Buck", not "Bang for a Buck"!
Anne Hathaway is an appealing actress, and may be about as good as we have out there, these days, but she is no Audrey Hepburn.
Rent Roman Holiday. Watch that last scene, where Audrey is before the press corps, and learns the truth about Joe Bradley. Do you think Anne Hathaway could telegraph that range of emotion, given the circumstances?
There was so much subtlety with Audrey Hepburn. Nobody else even comes close. Though I thought Helen Mirren did an excellent, and similar, job in The Queen.
