GOA is a guns-rights, political organization, as opposed to the NRA, which is largely an educational outfit with some political concerns about guns. GOA, unlike NRA, tips to the right. (NRA tries to remain “bipartisan” by clamoring for any Democrat who doesn’t openly do everything they can to oppose gun ownership.) Founder Larry Pratt is also the founder of English First, which advocates English as the official language. It has 300,000 members, all of whom (unlike NRA) are members because they want to become politically active.

Even Wikipedia has no mud to sling at GOA. My guess is they’re playing eighteen degrees of seperation: GOA = Larry Pratt = English language movement = Immigration reform movement = Minutemen = alleged vigilantes.

Larry Pratt = English language movement

Thanks for the info, there's no way millions of 'immigrants' will ever assimilate without mastering the language of their 'host' country. Out of respect, if nothing else.

Just for snicks, no Muslim mosque at GZ without an equivilent church built in Mecca. And, no Spanish radio until Mexico's emmigrants pass an English exam.

That's not asking too much for those who want to be here (the greatest place on earth). The Inconvenience. The Hurdle they can Hump. A sign you might have this nation's interests at heart. That, or get ready to be shown the door.

If we're serious at all, there'll be many shown the door, starting yesterday.
