I love living in the United States and love political debates!
We had an important senate election here and I proudly chose Scott Brown for senate because Martha Coakley was totally clueless and incompetent.
I looked at both candidates for president carefully. John McCain is a true military hero and even worked across the aisle on McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman and McCain-Kennedy. Thry were three very good bills. However, McCain is anti-choice, anti-gay and too pro-gun.
Barack Obama was short on experience, but I liked his postions on many issues except for the middle east and he's not agressive enough on the war on terror.
I chose President Obama at the end and while he's far from perfect, I'm pleased with my choice.
I love politics and can't wait to get into it! :-) I'm new so be nice while I get used to this site!

Massachusetts has already spent, so far, $500,000 on stiumus signs that you can read in traffic on the highway.... I have seen no other stimulus in effect. Yesterday a giant hole opened up in one of the major highways causing traffic jams of epic proportions. You would think some of that stimulus money would go to the roads, no, it went to the signs.

You’re still pleased with your choice? unemployment at 9.6% even though your choice claimed it wouldnt go over 8% with the stimulus bill
even though because of his health care bill hundreds of MA jobs in the medical manufacturing industry will end because the tax on them will be too high (one reason Scott Brown won MA was to try to stop this boondoggle)
even though he sat on his thumbs for over a month while BP was ruining the Gulf Coast
even though he fawns over our enemies and gives our allies the finger
look i give you Kudos for voting for Scott Brown in MA but if you dont see how much of a disaster Obama you may be too far gone to moonbatville to have a reasoned debate.

Yeah, Boston has a public transit system which is inefficient and cannot survive without public subsidy.
It also has the “Big Dig”: a ludicrous showcase for corruption and theft, which turns out to have been so badly built that it is a death-trap. Here’s a shocker: that needs public money too.
Boston - like many American cities - excels in making poor, corrupt and immoral choices in the expectation that the rest of the American people will bail them out.
Well tough. It’s not our problem. Boston must pay for its own mistakes, not expect the rest of us to pick up the tab.

We elect our president and congress and they passed a very good stimulus bill. If you presonally don’t agree, that does not make it forcibly taking ya know. :-)
