It’s a different, world..my friend. It’s a different world. But if you’re comfortable making rash generalizations...so be it. Good luck to ya.

Sam - I can’t believe your wife let you live to tell the tale. My husband has Very Strict Grocery Shopping Rules. After 31 years of marriage, he is terrified to disobey.

I’d never pass up Trader Joe’s for Whole Foods, either! Unfortunately, as much as us Hawaii people whine to the TJ people when we travel, they refuse to open a store here! If you vacation in Hawaii, you can tell the local people on the plane, because their carryon is a TJ bag, full of goodies.

That said, I shop occasionally at the Kahala Whole Foods, even though it’s full of Kahalans. Yeuhh... If you can tear yourself away from the high-priced temptations, there are actually bargains to be found.

When my children were visiting in June, I bought a duck. It wasn’t that much more than a frozen duck from Safeway, but it tasted like a different critter. It was unbelievably flavorful, tender and delicious! Just the memory of the flavor brings a tear to my eye!

I frequented TJs when I lived in Los Angeles. I moved back to KC and there is none here but they opened a few years ago, several in the St. Louis area. My sister is a manager there - hopefully they’ll be in KC soon. There’s already a small business of folks taking orders from KC and driving to St. Louis and back with the orders.

Maybe that's what defines a liberal - one who does not have to work for a living. Be it somebody poor and on welfare, or somebody from a rich family who is living off a trust fund (or married to somebody rich).

Great post, Sam.

Ok, that doesn't even make sense.

That guy with the body piercings probably invented something that you use everyday.

Is simply stupid on every level. If you replaced "probably" with some version of "one chance in a million" it would only be silly.

What do you look like? Do you look “successful?” What would I think if I saw you in a store? That’s my point. I don’t make snap judgements based on what people wear when they are shopping.

If you do want plain old peanut butter, you are going to have to bend over...

Very brave.

The thing that most annoys me about WF or TJ is that people study potential purchases as if they were Liv Ullmann doing a screen test for Persona. They push their carts as if they were doing a 1950s Vogue photo shoot. It's freaking food already. I wish Sam Kinison were still here to do a routine about trendy grocery store morons. If you ever want to see what the zombie apocalypse is going to look like and you're in Philadelphia, there's a health food store near 4th and Bainbridge called Essene. Why would zombies need vitamins. I'm sure there's one at least in every city.

What does any of that have to do with your retarded statement?

To answer your questions:

A man.
Yes.
He’s hot.

Look at the dude in post# 148.

I bet he invented a bunch of really great stuff!

Shame my daughter didn’t hook up with him.

Now you’re just being silly and you’re ignoring my whole point..so, good night and pleasant dreams. However, I would still like to see what you look like that you can be so flip and condescending about what other people look like.

You're lucky they didn't hook up. They would never have been able to get unhooked.

By the way, what did your "daughter" invent, the "blind hook" fishing technique?

You didn't make a point. You said that zipperheads like in post# 148 PROBABLY invented something that I use everyday. Well, he and they didn't.

Pictures of me aren't difficult to find. Rest assured I don't have a bunch of garbage drilled into my face and don't think much of folks who do.
