The President of the United States has not been making a lot of friends in Israel lately. He snubbed Bibi, hes looked the other way as Iran builds a nuke, and hes generally one of Americas staunchest allies like something stuck to his shoe after walking Bo.
On Wednesday he was magnanimous enough to grant an interview with Israels Channel 2, and heres one of his pearls of wisdom, as reported by Haaretz:
During the interview Wednesday, when confronted with the anxiety that some Israelis feel toward him, Obama said that some of it may just be the fact that my middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion.Of course! It couldnt be that they have substantive disagreements with your policies, Barry. They just cant get past the name.
As Ace of Spades puts it:
Its kind of amazing that every single criticism of, or lack of proper enthusiasm for, Barack Obama is rooted in some sort of bitter, clingy ignorance and malice. Apparently not a single critique of him is well-founded, or founded upon anything at all, really, except hatred and mental retardation.Jim Geraghty, in his excellent Morning Jolt daily e-mail for NRO, likens this to SNLs joke during the election about Obama playing the race card with Kim Jong-il.

Everything ultimately boils down to and around the Annointed Idiot.
Dr. Ali Sina calls it NPD. I tend to wholeheartedly agree.

Actually, the Israelis are suspicious of BHO because of the middle finger he has given them, not his middle name.
A Blackunnist?
No, the Problem Is Not Obamas Middle Name
--Come again? There are Americans who have wondered about that middle name, less because it is Hussein than because it has lived a strange life of its own, fading in and out depending on the audience disappearing during Obamas 2008 election campaign, reappearing during his outreach to the Muslim world, coming and going as if it mattered in some malleable way to Obama himself.
-- Has he ever considered that public worry about his middle name might have more to do with the slippery nature of its use, and the too often disturbing policies of its owner, than with the name itself?
--And for Obama to impute Israeli anxiety to his Cheshire Cat of a middle name is grossly dismissive and insulting to the Israelis. Does he really believe they are such bigots as to judge him other things equal by his middle name? Does he have any evidence for that? Or was he drawing on his own stereotype of Israelis? How exactly was he judging them, when he tossed out that remark?
--Ill venture a wild guess that the problem for Israelis is not Obamas name first, last, or middle but his flim-flam fictions and negligence regarding too many hard and dangerous realities in the Middle East. Since becoming commander-in-chief of Israels most important ally, America, Obama has repeatedly bypassed or undermined Israels very real concerns about self-defense.
Whatever happened to his white half?
It runs deeper than that. Obama doesn’t like that unmentioned part of him, one thing that conflicts him so much.
Outstanding!
