On Palin: The Politics of Criticism vs. the Politics of Destruction
June 26, 2010 | vanity

Posted on 06/26/2010 1:15:17 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

It is good to criticize fanaticism, esp. BLIND fanaticism, but be equally weary of the fanatical Palin haters that parade around this site. Regardless of how some mask their true wishes for Palin in "constructive critic" guise, there are plenty of writers and thinkers out there who offer honest critique of Palin while having her and our country's best interests in mind and therefore want her to come out WINNING.

Most of the FR trolls who post the latest Palin hit-piece of the day could care less for Palin and take joy everytime she supposedly "falls." To these types, Palin is an enemy that must be destroyed for GOOD, not a leader with clear weaknesses to address.

There is something viscerally powerful about Palin that goes beyond her nonconformist style of operation and beyond her gender (even women such as Michele Bachmann and Nikki Haley do not attract the level of reactionary responses that Palin does.)

It's fascinating to ponder how and why God is using her and her family to invoke such captivating responses from people across the world. The hate, envy, and ultimately FEAR she is met with by some corners of society is truly remarkable...and some of the people most threatened by her continual rise to prominence happen to be members of this site.

Hey there, how goes it over there in the frozen tundra? Don't you love making Paulists squeel and go to mommy? I do.

:-)

You know what’s funny is that you keep posting that comment over and over as if doing so will make it go away.

Either I hit paydirt or there is some reason you fear it.

Frozen tundra - LOL. Actually, the past few days have been rather tolerable. I guess it's the "calm" before the "hell's gate" heat of July and August descend upon us.

Yes, the Paulists can be a thin-skinned bunch. :)

Actually BJ, it's so outrageously demented, it shows you to be somewhere between clinically insane and terminally stupid.

It's a joy to show.......

“acceptable debate”

In the final analysis, I believe Jim Robinson is said arbiter. Free speech is paramount. But free speech is not always prudent speech.

Sarah Palin is pro 2nd Amendment, anti-abortion, anti-illegal immigration, pro balanced budget, and is a bona fide conservative on these and most other issues one would tend to choose. She is a thorn in Obama, the liberals and liberal medias buttholes, much more so than any other so called conservative with the possible exception of Rush, Malkin, Hannity, and Beck. The difference is hers resonate effectively.

The critics herein do not attack her on the issues; they attack her personally using such terms as “Precious”, etc. Maybe she will run and get nominated; maybe she won’t. But she is by far the most effective weapon in the conservative arsenal at this point in time. I take the approach that the worst player on our team is better than the regime on the other team.

We may not survive the next two years. We definitely will not survive if @$$h0le gets re-elected.

Well, I can’t disagree with any of that.

I am ambivelent right now. I really can’t think 2012 until 2010 is over.

If the GOP should win big, 2012 hopes for any candidate will depend on whether they do what they promised to win in 2010.

If they fail at that, which they might, considering the non stop passel of RINOs they dish out, all bets are off for 2012.

""Seems a lot of them are from either the Mitt Romney camp or the Ron Paul cult.""

Seems that way to me also.

You back in the sand box now?

My kid was suppose to deploy to Afgan. this fall, but ain't gonna happen. Just "support" guys going there. No grunts.
