On Palin: The Politics of Criticism vs. the Politics of Destruction
June 26, 2010 | vanity

Posted on 06/26/2010 1:15:17 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

It is good to criticize fanaticism, esp. BLIND fanaticism, but be equally weary of the fanatical Palin haters that parade around this site. Regardless of how some mask their true wishes for Palin in "constructive critic" guise, there are plenty of writers and thinkers out there who offer honest critique of Palin while having her and our country's best interests in mind and therefore want her to come out WINNING.

Most of the FR trolls who post the latest Palin hit-piece of the day could care less for Palin and take joy everytime she supposedly "falls." To these types, Palin is an enemy that must be destroyed for GOOD, not a leader with clear weaknesses to address.

There is something viscerally powerful about Palin that goes beyond her nonconformist style of operation and beyond her gender (even women such as Michele Bachmann and Nikki Haley do not attract the level of reactionary responses that Palin does.)

It's fascinating to ponder how and why God is using her and her family to invoke such captivating responses from people across the world. The hate, envy, and ultimately FEAR she is met with by some corners of society is truly remarkable...and some of the people most threatened by her continual rise to prominence happen to be members of this site.

I'm just saying she's not your average "Republican contender" -- people realize she's "special"

You must be working for MItt or Huck. These vomit inducing vanities are doing Palin no favors.

"So be it. Truth is, I don’t hate Palin. I wish to see her take a great path, differently than the current one."

Do tell, what path she should have taken other than the successful one she's on now.

Not only is it the more successful path: it was the more risky and sacrifical path...AND it was the path that BEST serves this country and conservatism as a whole.

” Not only is it the more successful path: it was the more risky and sacrifical path..”

Yeah, 2 million dollars a month is the supreme sacrifice. Where do I sign up to do this?

” .AND it was the path that BEST served this country and conservatism as a whole. “

Yes, re electing the most dangerous man in the House or Senate is how to BEST serve your country. The man who will “reach across the aisle, and persuede other cockroaches like Graham to vote for

Tell me... when DeMint comes out and gives his support to Romney (and not to mention to fawning, sickening support he’s given Mitt in the past, including a DeMint fund raiser as recent as October 2009), will you go after DeMint with the same ferocity as Palin?

Thank you, SJB. Call me dense, but I do not understand how cap & trade (and the whole host of Constitutional assaults McCain has sponsored/voted for) serve Conservatisim's cause. I'm not buying it, either.

Off to stand athwart history, yelling, "Hey, what the heck is going on, here?"

“What if Palin does not run. Are you staying home in a hissy and leave Obozo at the helm?”

I will do everything I can to make sure the socialist is not re-elected. Now, if Palin is the GOP or Tea Party or whatever nominee, will you support her? Belly up to the bar, son.

I have 3 sons. I am not a son.

I have already stated that I would would vote for whichever person is not Obozo.

By the way, you did not define for me what folks are allowed to say on this forum for acceptable debate. We need to know exactly what that is.

These pro-Palin, Palin-critic attacks are really getting humorous. Since the first time many months ago where I had the heretical audacity to say I didn't think Palin was ready for the presidency, the PMS’ers (Palin Messiah Syndrome) have relentlessly targeted any critics with the most vile, profane and ruthless personal attacks still allowed on this site. Accusing critics of not debating honestly or fairly while claiming supporters do demonstrates the total lack of disconnect here that the most ardent supporters seem to reflect.

Among too many Palin support has become a worship that borders on a cult and with it absurdity. She is a media personality if not a politician. She is not above criticism or reproach. However, for some reason Palin fans believe she SHOULD be above all reproach and criticism, just like fundie islamics believe of Mohammad, strangely enough.

People here are not engaging in any kind of hatred for Palin, for the most part they are simply responding to the absurd adoration and worship from Palin zombies whose first commandment seems to be “Thou shall not criticize the prophetess”.

You want humorous, try reading the following post. On second thought, posts that show brain aneurysms aren’t funny, just insane: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2532711/posts?page=174#174

The anti-Palinites around here sure are a strange lot.

Seems a lot of them are from either the Mitt Romney camp or the Ron Paul cult.
