A trivia question no liberal could ever answer correctly.
Would ruin the point if I said the source ^ | 5-27-10

Think you're smart enough NOT to fall into the trap of thinking like a liberal racialist? Try this on for size: Name the first African-American senator. He's not who you think. He's not even who you think when I tell you he's not who you think. Answer will be posted in the morning, if no-one gets it by then.

Well I checked and no senator has ever been born in Africa, many in the Caribbean and Europe but 0 on the African continent.

Not really. I mean, I’m challenging people’s way of thinking, but you’re guess is far more like a play on words than my answer is.

In 1870, Hiram Revels of Mississippi became the first African American senator. Five years later, Blanche K. Bruce of Mississippi took the oath of office. It would be nearly another century, 1967, before Edward Brooke of Massachusetts followed in their historic footsteps. Carol Moseley Braun broke new ground in 1993 becoming the first African American female to serve as U.S. senator. In 2005, Barack Obama of Illinois became the fifth African American to serve and third to be popularly elected. Upon Obama’s resignation to become president, Roland Burris was appointed to fill the vacancy, becoming the sixth African American senator

Hmm even by this list the first 3 African American senator were Republican and if you ask the question which party has elected the most African American senator that answer would also be Republicans as Roland Burris was appointed

Here’s a weird hint people: Think of the most prominent ancient Christian saints. Can you name an African saint? No, that has nothing to do with his name, and he’s linked to such a saint only by a minor coincidence which has nothing to do with why I’m asking you all to think of such a saint.

Now ask which party has elected more Klan member to office we also know that answer and that party begins with a D

In fact has that ever been an elected Republican that was a Klan or Ex Klan member?...I don't know on any off the top of my head

Charles Cathcart. He was born on an Island which is technically part of Africa even though it is a possession of Portugal.

I noticed you said “Name the first African-American senator.” You didn’t say “black”.

That's the first thing I thought of as well..
For example, Theresa Heinz Kerry is African-American.

Interestingly, David Yale Yulee, though born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, hailed from the city of St. Augustine, named for another overlooked African. (Although, St. Augustine was probably Italian.)

You’ll agree that calling a Semitic Morroccan, “African-American” isn’t too much of a play on words, right?
