I respect the Dalai Lama, but the statement that Marxism “has moral ethics” is just plain stupid. Has his quote been taken out of context?

The most famous Nelson Mandela speech, that gets played every year in South Africa, starts out, “My name is Nelson Mandela and I am a Communist.” That’s the part that gets snipped when the speech runs outside of SA.

Marxism has moral ethics - see Mao, Kmer Rouge, Stalin, Castro, Shining Path... for more detail on aforesaid moral ethics.

Well if he admits to it, then I suppose he is.

But I thought an atheist believes in NO god whatsoever; not “higher power” of any kind, whereas buddhism is based on god being in ALL things.

I thought true marxists had to be atheists.

Buddhists are atheists. There is only the great void--nothingness.

As the the Dolly Llama has said himself, "There are two types of religion--godfull religions like Christianity and godless religions like Buddhism."

(Marxism has) moral ethics,

Proletariat morality: the ethical belief that whatever advances the proletariat and the cause of communism is morally good and whatever hinders the proletariat or communism is morally evil.

Oh.

I always thought that was just what he said when he stood up to speak at one of his Marxists Anonymous meetings.

;-)

Yes.

And I’ve also heard that for a cowardly, murderous, psychotic savage with a torture fetish, Che Guevara had IMPECCABLE moral ethics.

capitalism is only how to make profits

What an idiot. Capitalism is about using what you own to create something that others value. Capitalism is about having to freedom to create and the freedom to trade. Capitalism is about increasing the value of the world through voluntary association. Capitalism is about win-win.

Marxism is about win-lose. The elite win and everyone else loses.

I've always been hesitant about the Dalai Lama. Now I know why. He's an idiot who's divorced from reality and lives in an idealized utopia where wishing makes things true.

"(Marxism has) moral ethics, whereas capitalism is only how to make profits," the Dalai Lama, 74, said.

So...the Dalai Lama is ignorant.

Actually, buddhists are technically atheists. By declaring that everything is god, they effectively negate the concept of god to a degree an atheist can only dream of.

A distinction without a difference.

Q: What did the Dali Lama say to the hot-dog vendor?

A: Make me one with everything.

Boy, you certainly would think that the Dalai Lama would know that before announcing it!!!

““...he didn’t tip me — but he told me that on my death bed I would achieve total enlightenment. So I got that going for me... ...which is nice!””

Ha!! That’s the only thing that comes to mind when I hear Dalai Lama. “Total consciousness”.

Funny
