Holy...
I did a brake job on my little truck (F-150 4x4)...
Rotors $30/ea
Calipers $6/ea
Pads $32
Total $104 + tax
Hardest part was jacking the truck up.
took an hour in the driveway.

Hardest part was jacking the truck Next time, I'm sure there are some questionable characters who will do that for free

Sadly some people would ask ....Is that all I need?....
In a lot of cases, If you show no smarts at the repair shop...the bill goes way up....

How much longer do you plan to keep it? If you plan to dump it soon, do the minimum.Only keeping it for another two months or so.
So, yes, I'm doing the minimum (just replacing the uppers).
Also, the mechanic said the lowers looked fine and recommended only the uppers be replaced.
I wouldn't think he would say this, if it were not true, since he would make twice as much $$$ to do all four.
Maybe the lower one didn't get too damaged (or damaged at all?) when the upper one failed.
I wasn't going very fast when it happened, unless 30mph is considered fast.
Thanks very much for the replies.
