Justice Stevens had the unmitigated gaul to change the words of the United States Constitution. In the majority opinion of the Kelo Vs. New London case, he changed the 5th Amendment eminent domain phrase “public use” to “public benefit”.
IMO, the five justices on the majority side of that decision should have been impeached and removed from the Supreme Court. Only “We the People” can change the Constitution by a 2/3 vote of both Houses and 3/4 of the States. This country is not supposed to be run by 9 lawyers who won the “JUDICIAL LOTTO”.
IMO, Justice Stevens did NOT serve his country. He abused his position by considering himself above “We The People” and he and Sen. Grahamesty can’t be gone fast enough.
