I had a little dachshund puppy, raised when we lived in a very diverse apartment complex. He loved everyone-never acted differently to a person because of race, size, whatever. He was love on paws.

Later, we got a female dachshund. We lived in a house then, and during her earliest months, we were in the process of relocating. So she saw very little of people other than her owners. She hated everyone except white men of her daddy's approximate age and size. Them she flirted with in a manner sickening to behold. A real "electra complex".

Dogs are neophobic-that's all. If they aren't made used to a wide range of people in early puppyhood, they sometime s grow up to dislike people who don't look like the humans they own.

Regardless, hurting a dog for such asinine "reasoning" as that thug displayed needs to be punishing severely.I'm glad the poor dog survived.

I have 6 dogs, some are rescues and they really are skittish around anyone, it is because of lack of socialization as puppies. 3 of the dogs we’ve had since 6 weeks, I take them everywhere, they are used to all people.

The 3 that are not socialized are also freaked out by a cardboard cut-out of the Worlds Most Interesting Man (the Dos Equis man)...he is white with a beard...I have come to use him to keep the dogs off of furniture, out of certain rooms etc. It really is funny that this cardboard man has so much control over them.

Makes you wonder how many little “incidents” have occurred over time with Jenna and that guy...a little rock here, a little buck there, a taunt while having a broom or shovel....especially if Jenna was fenced or tied up where she could not get at him.

That is him! My son got him from a convenience store.........for weeks it scared the bejesus out me! He’d put him in different parts of the house and I’d catch him out of the corner of my eye and literally jump!

He is standing next to my fireplace right now....the dogs just stare at him and will not step into a room with him in it!

My sister had a pekinese that was picked on by a black gas station attendant(A long time ago). After that whenever we drove by a gas station he would look and if he saw a black man he would have a barking fit.

Years ago, living in Memphis, people would run their dogs in Overton Park.....With the owner on the “sidelines” you would see the Great Danes gravitate toward the Danes, the Shepherds would find their breed, etc.

To a dog, Whites may smell like PRIME RIB, Mexicans may smell like TACOS, Blacks may smell like FRIED CHICKEN! /sarcasm?

Many Danes will go wacko when you cook pork as opposed to other meats...not surprising, they were bred to hunt wild boar in Europe.

Sad for the dog. I have heard people speak of dogs that disliked Black people before. Perhaps the darkness of their skin puzzles them or something.

Is Dog still on A & E? Don’t have TV anymore but even when I had one I lost interest in the show after the ugly incident with his son and his girlfriend came up. Then Dog went all over the airwaves apologizing. Sickening.

If Piper ‘the Yorkie’ was a large dog, I would be in trouble. He’s a Terrier and they are a bit aggressive. He goes crazy if someone comes into the yard.

Plus he can follow someones trail like a bird dog!!

Dogs and horses seem to often be mucho more trustworthy than politicians

Especially since 2006

A good hunting hound would provide better security for us than a radical cowardly pretender

This is because for years there were some black kids that would throw rocks at them when they would go to and from school

Your father's dogs walked to school? Must be High IQ Jack Russel's...
