Yep. I've worked with them and had them as neighbors. They're not averted to self-defense. Their neighbors plan ahead, too, BTW, so they don't have the typical confused YUPPIE suburb problem.

To my knowledge the Mennonites have certain modern appliances such as refrigerators, etc.
So......
Why not style ourselves as "Progressive Amish Mennonites".....
(Heck, the Libs will have to love us simply because we use the word "Progressive")
Additionally, we continue to attend the church of our choice as a part of our "Missionary Outreach Program".
However we refuse govt medical care as it is against out religion.

According to information on their website, the organizations like Christian Care Medi Share are also covered under an exemption within the Senate version of the healthcare bill.

If that is the case, I would urge Christians all over the country to join organizations like them. If the govt. can’t collect taxes in the form of fines from you and can’t mandate how much you are required to pay, maybe a two tiered system will develop. The bloated govt. system will eventually fall of it own weight and the Christian system will flourish.
