Do You Have A Blog? If So What Is The URL?
1/7/10 | One Vike

Posted on 01/07/2010 9:19:41 AM PST by OneVike

With the explosion of opinionated blogs on the web, and any of a number of sites that will give anyone a chance to blog for free, I was wondering how many Freepers have a blog. If you have one, would you mind sharing your URL address and a little blurb about the theme of your blog. Many here know that I have two blogs, one for my political beliefs and one for my religious beliefs.

For me I use the political one as a repository for the articles I write for my local news paper, the Enterprise Record. My religious blog is where I post what my many religious articles I have published and or what I am will be speaking about when I do my sermons on Sunday or the bible study classes I teach at Windchime retirement center in the town I live in.

Well, here are the links and URLs of my two blogs.

"Gate of the City" blog. (my religious blog) http://gateofthecity.blogspot.com/

"The Way One Vike Sees It" ( my political blog) http://onevike.blogspot.com/

So Please share your blog with us and then we can all really get connected.

It would be cool to link up with my fellow freepers that have blogs, but unless I spend 24/7 on Free Republic and read every comment posted, I would never know you have one that I may find interesting and informative.

I have a blog but I very rarely touch on issues of a political nature. It's about Korean food and culture and a companion to my YouYube cooking videos. http://koreanforniancooking.blogspot.com/

Politically, I just write here or at Townhall.com

My main blog (very neglected) is educational technology based and doesn't venture into the political realm.

I blog here: Sharp Arrows - A wakeup call for Christian parents.

It had been largely neglected for a while, but I've started posting periodically again.

I do, but to reveal it here would compromise my anonymity. Everybody better think carefully if they might have the same issue.

Just saying...

Here's mine: Dinah Lord

Lincoln Parish News Online
“What isn’t in the newspapers is often more newsworthy than what is.”

Mission Statement – Lincoln Parish News Online
06/13/2009

This weblog will represent taxpayers. Government at all levels is too big and takes too much money from its citizens. Government will be covered from the standpoint of how best to obtain maximum value for every dollar government seizes from its citizens.

Lincoln Parish News Online will cover and report on the meetings and activities of the City of Ruston, Lincoln Parish Police Jury and Lincoln Parish School Board. We will insist that local governments fully disclose any and all budgets, meeting notices and minutes and promptly post them on their websites.

The condition of government, its employees and its officials is of no concern to Lincoln Parish News Online. Government can and does take care of itself – it has always prospered and grown, regardless of the local economy and the financial health of the citizens who fund its existence.

Area print publications sufficiently advocate for government – they are often too comfortable with government and prosper from the antiquated custom of legal advertising in limited circulation paper format. It is welfare for newspapers. State law may require it, but there is no restriction to prevent legal advertising to be simultaneously published on government websites.

Lincoln Parish News Online will attempt to bring balance to news coverage of Lincoln Parish government. News reporting is too important to be left to journalists.

Walter Abbott

Where Angels Dare to Tread http://dachieftain.wordpress.com — a low volume blog on crime, politics and social commentary. I tend to post only when I have something to say.

I guess timing is everything. I refused to even entertain the idea of a blog until last month and finally took the plunge this weekend. I haven't even worked out all the template/image issues but I have a couple of posts.

It is http://toymakingdad.blogspot.com/ and it is about... well making wood toys. Cannons, tanks and dinosaurs are the early themes, but I can't imagine any Freepers would be interested in those.... ;)

I had been considering having a blog but then I remembered my rule # 1 for the internet:

“Don’t ever type anything that you would not want to appear on the network 5:00 o’clock news.”

Do you think that I want Big Brother’s jack-booted thugs knocking at my door or just busting it down and come blitzkreiging in? No thanks. :-)

Great thread. I don't have a blog, but really like reading what others have to say. Maybe someday I'll start posting the insights I receive from the LORD. If I do I'll let you know!

May the LORD bless you with His Shalom!
