I almost fainted in church yesterday. The Associate Pastor actually preached a sermon on one of Calvin's 5 points - Perseverance of the Saints. Only the second time since I've been going there that anything remotely approaching Calvinism was discussed. I guess since it was Totenfest* he decided to return to the church's Reform/Puritan roots.
*Totenfest - A service honoring members of the congregation who have passed away during the previous year.

I didn’t share my homily with you did I? a visiting priest gave us a ten minute lecture on supporting the health care bill.........I just shut down....the gall of the man.
This “health care” debate/debacle is laid directly at the feet of the tyranny of evil: The ignominious socialist liberals of Obama’s party who demand it, the ignominious socialists in the ABCNNBCBS media who propagandize - while ignoring the better choices and its failures, and the even larger ignorantominious population who listens to both of them in deluded spender of “Pay me first!”

i have to share a good service story with you guys. xsfrosh’s ipod had frozen up. One of her friends suggested she take it to the apple store to see if they could “reboot” it or something. After seeing New Moon on Sat PM we stopped at the mall, the girl at the apple store asked xsfrosh what all she’d tried to get it to work and said that’s all she could think of, but you needed an appt to talk to the diagnostic people, did we want one, so we made an appt for yesterday. Overnight i started thinking what is the likelihood the apple store is going to deal with this issue. I bought the Ipod at walmart and purchased the extended warranty. xshub dug that out for me and i called the # on the paperwork and they said they would email me a mailing label and directions on how to mail the ipod in for service. Since we had the appt at the store anyway, i figured we’d keep it and just see what they said. We went to the appt. they dealt entirely with xsfrosh, never asked me where we bought it or when [i imagine they punched the serial # into their system there to get the info bc she did say we were still under warranty]. Basically didn’t address me at all, which was fine as i don’t know from ipods. She asked if it was ok if she erased everything on the ipod and attempted to restore it, xsfrosh said sure. That didn’t work, so she gave her a new ipod right there on the spot. i was pretty dang impressed. I would never have dreamt of even taking it there bc we hadn’t bought it there, if her friend hadn’t suggested it and i figured we had nothing to lose and would go the walmart mail in route if we had to. So all in all a pleasant surprise. Apple stands behind their stuff, no matter where you buy it.
I wasn’t paying attention. I know we hit an iceberg on Saturday; did the country sink yet?

I ordered an iPod Touch from Amazon about a month ago, the $399 one, loaded with 64 gigabytes of memory. The postman delivered the box a few days later. It was empty! Someone had sliced the edge of the box, removed the trinket, and resealed it.
I called Amazon (not an easy telephone number to find, by the way.) I got a live person on the phone within two minutes. I explained the situation and she said they’d ship me another one, which I got two days hence (via U.P.S. this time.) Either they are aware of the thievery at their warehouse, or they just believed me because I’ve spent a lot of money there over the years.
Well the vet gave us a scrip for pills and said no food or water for 18-24 hours and then the prescription dog food in 1/3 can 3x per day increments.

WOW, that is an impressive story too! kind of renews one’s faith in customer service. but if you ever need that SHAKEN, just go to best buy! LOL!
It was the ‘shout - out’ at the press conference after the shooting at Fort Hood that did it. I watched that imbecile act like he was on MTV after 40 people had been shot at a U.S. Army base, and besides that, he even screwed up the ‘shout - out.’ I thought, “Not even Carter was this stupid,” and a signature was born.
However, if we are to judge by the article at your link, Carter may have dropped a few I.Q. points since 1980. He didn’t have a lot of them in 1979, either.

I watched a few episodes of AI with the CA clan when I was out there......so I watched some more after getting home......my instinctive feeling that he was older with a questionable past was correct. he is just gross. and the music is NOT that good. THIS is the song he wants main stream america to see on tv? he thinks he is a malehomo version of madonna and brittany? and who’s idea was it that we needed one?
