Provocative Dressing Leads to Trouble

Nicole Kidman recently hit headlines when she came out with her opinion that Hollywood probably contributes to violence by portraying women as sex objects, and “Everybody Loves Raymond” star Doris Roberts couldn't agree more. According to Doris, ladies need to leave a little more to the imagination.

“You've got to start with the dolls that are out. We are more than breasts and rear ends, and if you're a child and that's what we're trying to emanate you think that's all we are,” Roberts told Tarts at the recent “Peace Over Violence” event in Los Angeles which was aimed at building support for female victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

“I think about it a lot and I'm not really sure what the answers are. Little by little we all need to try to make a difference and get out and support organizations like this because it is a problem. I don't think it's just Hollywood.”

I don't think it's just Hollywood either... When Burger King and Carl's Jr try selling cheeseburgers by showing a half dressed (at best) woman drooling over a burger... I think it's pretty much gotten out of hand. It's a shame that our young women try to follow suit with advertising and Hollywood, fake bodies.

What is frustrating is that key figures on the left are the very Hollywood types who promote the woman as the sex object, and are tolerated by feminists who turn a blind eye toward them and blame the wrong people - conservatives - for their situation.

The reason they turn a blind eye is abortion. It is the one issue that truly unites them. Leftist feminists favor legal abortions because they think it gives them control over their bodies. Hollywood types favor legal abortion because it gives them license to screw themselves blind with no consequence. I think they have the feminists snookered.

I see it like this. If you see a guy walking down the street, wearing wranglers, a cowboy hat, boots, and a big belt buckle...what is he trying to be? Irrespective of what he may be in reality...He’s a cowboy. And no one would deny that he is going for a cowboy vibe.

Well I checked your profile and since we have something in common (50 something and have opinions) I had to respond to your post.

Yes it is an insult to some men's intelligence to assume that men only care about a women's body. But some men do only care about a women's body. I would expect, to a lesser extent, the the reverse is also true. These kind of men and women are missing out on the gifts God has given to both genders. That's my opinion anyway ;) Nice of you to speak up for the men that value more than just B&B.
