No doubt. But Hucabee’s scheme in Va pushed out one of the chief contenders that could have given us the time to address conservative issues. Instead, it guaranteed McCain which encouraged him to go out and appeal to the left while the RNC flipped us the bird.

I’d have taken Thompson over McCain/Obammie the Commie any day of the week. He was one of the few senators who truly understood the China threat and went after Slick Willy aggressively with the campaign-contribution-for-missile-guidance-technology scam.

Our minister’s wife is a retired Army Sergeant Major. (Our minister is a retired Navy Chaplain.) She spent some time as a bodyguard for Huckabee. She is a little bitty thing, but tough as nails. She told Huck he had to lose some weight, because she just wasn’t big enough to cover his whole body and protect him from a bullet.......and that is what prompted his original weight loss. (Her story and I have no reason to doubt her.)

My brother worked with Chuck Norris during Norris’ heyday when he was making all those movies. My brother told me that he was one of the nicest guys he’d ever met. That he had this kind of face that always looked like he was smiling and it was very difficult for him because he always had to project this tough guy image!

Not a Huck fan by any means. He seems decent at bass, but as a politician, no thanks.

That being said, I know the struggle with weight firsthand, and I hope he's able to find a lifelong strategy to keep it off. Yo-yo dieting is so frustrating. I've managed to keep my weight off for years, and it's a daily commitment.
