Hmmmmm....nice letter but it appears there’s a problem with some of the actual members who don’t support this, small organization that it is. I think only 17% of all doctors are members of the AMA.

I heard it best said yesterday If you believe The "Affordable Health Care" reform is a good thing Send AARP a thank you letter.


If on the other hand, You think that AARP made a deal with the Devil Cut up your card and mail it back to them, add a letter if you choose..

And all of my colleague physicians have sent letters to the AMA to cancel their membership! The AMA is D.O.N.E! They DO NOT represent their members! The leadership is representing their selfish political agenda which is NOT in the best interest of their members!

Many physicians have indicated that they will leave the field if this debacle passes. IF even a small percent of those DO leave, we as Americans have a REAL problem in terms of getting medical care!

When will these idiots in CONgress get the picture that we are already short of Doctors and nurses. When will they wake up from their totalitarian dream and realize that while this MIGHT work in France, Canada or the U.K. (and it doesn't .. THEY have serious deficiencies) that it DEFINITELY WON'T work in a Country of 310 million people -- 10 times what those European Socialist nations have in population! When will they realize that WE ARE B.R.O.K.E?!! What is wrong with these morons?!?!!!!

Hard to believe all of your colleague's were that duped to start with...and joined the AMA.

Good Doctor friend of mine,....tells me only around 30% of physicians even belong to that group of commies.

As crazy as it is...I live in the reddest of red states....and I personally know a handful of political nutcase Doc's who voted for Obama...and probably ARE members of the AMA.

I should have been more clear: of my known colleagues who ARE members, they have all canceled their membership. Believe it or not, there are still a lot of Hopenchange types in medicine. Whether it be that they were raised by Leftist parents; learned to be Leftists from their friends at school “because it’s ‘cool’ to hate Rrepublicans because they’re so .. like .. ohmygod .. yucky”; or just that they suffer from personal guilt that they are successful and “owe” something to society.

It isn’t insignificant that even they whom have been somewhat Liberal their entire adult lives are now feeling angst at what “their” Party is doing to this Country! There’s a change coming in this Country, and this attempt at a totalitarian takeover of healthcare is their last big push. THEY KNOW IT, and that is why they are fighting so hard to get this piece ‘o carp passed! It is OUR duty to stand at the breach and fight with all we have! Our futures, and our children’s are at stake!

Fox is reporting this morning that the AMA is considering withdrawing their support. Apparently it was the board of trustees that made the decision to support the bill, and also apparently a lot of AMA members were upset that they weren’t consulted and in fact were not in favor of the bill.
