Famously smart, Obama was stupid about economy

President Obama came into office believing that in order to achieve two of the hearts' desires of his electoral base -- universal health care and global warming legislation -- he would have to act while his political capital was at its highest point.
Now, a year after his election, the president finds himself lugging two divisive initiatives and facing simmering outrage over the stagnant economy.
Exit polls from this week's contests in Virginia and New Jersey show health care with half the level of concern among voters as economic issues. Carbon emissions didn't even produce a BTU's worth of interest.
This is not a time to be selling plans that idealistic Americans support despite a belief that they damage the economy. Charity comes after subsistence.
It makes sense, then, that the president is increasingly likely to excuse himself from the global climate summit in Copenhagen next month. He lacks anything to offer his fellow heads of state but year-old campaign boilerplate.

Famously smart .......in the eyes of MSM/SCM
Since all the records are in a “lockbox”, common sense tells us that Baraq is not as smart as Joe the Plumber, or most any other plumber.

Americans would have gladly followed him into a Social Democratic phase if he had begun with another New Deal. I disagree. Debt levels are too high to support another New Deal. The opposite is now needed. Less government spending, lower taxes and less government borrowing.

Hey Examiner, it’s a lot easier to understand this if you don’t accept that Obama was a friggin’ genius going-in. He’s good at delivering speeches (as long as the teleprompter works) but what evidence is there that he’s particularly smart or gifted? Of course if we had access to his academic records this might be quite apparent...

Shouldn't we see the grades and SAT scores to be able to evaluate this retarded assertion?

Obama’s “smarts” are just a made-up mishmash of Obama’s self-proclaimed “genius”, the adulation of the MSM, stupidity of a lot of voters, and press releases from his army of handlers and enablers. We haven't seen a single school transcript from this bum. No one with any credibility has come forward to say they even remember him from school, much less his being “smart”. Obama is “smart” because some people say he is. I'm beginning to think his smarts are in the same league as Zsa Zsa Gabor’s fame. You know, famous for being famous.

Obama smart? What is there to make anyone think that? Certainly not his experience, not what he says, not the way he acts, and his educational records (which I believe he even admits were less than stellar) are locked away. So I ask again, what indication whatsoever is there that Obama is smart?

This is a well-written piece, but the headline is bad. “Famously smart”? Since when?
