No actual thread.
Observe members of the Texas State legislature voting multiple times for themselves, for anyone who is absent or *for anyone whose button they can reach quicker than the legislator actually present*.
Astounding.

This is a YouTube video and not footage available from the originating TV station, as far as I know. Speaks for itself. Myself, I'm speechless.

This was in the news here in Texas during the last Session.
Disgusting to say the least and even more disgusting is the State Rep. defending the practice.
Toss them all out.

What to do about it? Take these tapes to court and challenge the validity of any law passed with these "proxy" votes. After a few of these "laws" get tossed out, they'll clean it up. Simple.

Yeah, this is bad. The problem is they have so much to do that they need to fill for one another? They’re just writing too many laws. No legislature should be that busy.

That was disgusting....but unfortunately not a surprise with how our Nation's politics have been going.
Recycle all of them and do it right the next time.

Now you know why our ‘representatives’ don’t see anything wrong with a little ‘illegal’ voting by the populace. (unless the illegal voting hurts them)

“WOW, an actual investigative news report.”
Whoa there, is it...?
This is video shot from fixed cameras strung up around the perimeter of the chamber! Nobody actually had to get off their a** to do anything mind you...they just had to obtain the video and draw circles and arrows seated at a bank of expensive equipment sitting on expensive office chairs!

The same thing happened in Florida from time to time, although much less so under the Rs than under the Ds.
