Christian Protests Over ‘Transsexual Jesus’ Play
Three hundred protesters have held a candlelit protest outside a Glasgow theatre over the staging of a play which portrays Jesus as a transsexual.

The protest was held outside the Tron Theatre, where Jesus, Queen of Heaven, in which Christ is a transsexual woman, is being staged.
The play is part of the Glasgay! arts festival which celebrates Scotland's homosexual, lesbian, bi-sexual and transsexual culture. Festival organisers said there was no intention to incite or offend anyone.
According to publicity for the show, it presents “her sayings, her miracles and her testimony” as “the daughter of God”.
The Christian protesters gathered outside the theatre ahead of the opening night on Tuesday, singing hymns and waving placards saying, “Jesus, King of Kings, Not Queen of Heaven", and "God: My Son Is Not A Pervert."
The play, which runs until Saturday, is written and performed by Jo Clifford, a transsexual playwright.
Festival organisers described the banners as "fairly provocative" and said they could be viewed as inciting homophobia.

Not worth dignifying with a protest, IMO. Let those blasphemous fools dig their own eternal graves.
This would be ok by me if they would also portray Mohammed as a transexual. But all the artsy fartsy self-important d-heads who think they are bold and avante Garde are far too cowardly to do it. What a bunch of jerks.
To these performers, you’re not harming Jesus, but you suffer a mental sickness that rots the soul.
If you put a bunch of pigs on a stage what do you expect to get out of it?
This is really sad.
