When Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, the forward assault troops were ordered to attack and take control of the local police station as a first priority. Poland had a very liberal version of the 2nd Amendment (fashioned after the US Constitution) but the citizens who owned handguns and long guns were required to register their names, addresses and list of weapons with the local police station. So the problem for the German army was pretty well solved by the registration process. YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN HERE! WELL, HERE IT COMES!!! Gun control by secrecy! Yes it has been posted a gazillion times and it’s not new. The part where we need to be vigilant is that this pos bill was written in the first place. Than add in more fuel to this fire is the current administration who would pass this thing if a sufficient crisis came about. The gist of the bill puts American citizens in a position where they have to ask permission to excersize their 2nd ammendment rights, violating that ammemdment outright. And this current castro wannabes would politicize the whole thing.
Just my 2 cents worth.
This is why it is important to purchase guns from private citizens and at gun shows from private sellers.

Agreed – the dangerous part of such a bill is that it’s out there blunting the shock value of it’s opponent’s.
Plus, with it ready and waiting, all the statists in charge need is a “Good crisis”, and bring it up as a good solution to the “Crisis”.

They have succeeded in diverting our attention towards illicit and destructive pleasures so as to take fundamental control of our government from we complacent American citizens. We can still pray, but there are far to many who trust only in themselves and material solutions and so very few who truly believe and trust in God as the real solution. “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Mt 19:26).
Is Obama seeking to serve the American people by seeking to discover what the majority of American people want or is Obama seeking to put in place his agenda, “by stealth”, by going forward with his hidden agenda three steps and then one or two steps back incrementally???
If we are not in union with our Creator, at least to a minimal degree, these power seekers and world manipulators will be able to lead us where ever they like, using beautiful words, arguments, smiles, rhetoric, psychological techniques, the mass media and whatever else! After these puppets of Satan succeed in taking full power, they will no longer have to take one or two steps back!

HR 45 was DOA, has been since day one, and is a distraction to real threats to the 2A.
You talk about “a distraction to real threats”! Why have we arrived to this point to even have to defend our constitutional rights?
The vast majority of the conservatives in America do not recognize their real power and their real weapons as well as their principle points of vulnerability. It is amazing that the ones taking us very quickly to a socialistic dictatorship understand and recognize better than the God-loving people the most powerful weapons that they have been able to take away from us as well as our vulnerable points. “For THE SONS OF THIS WORLD ARE WISER in their own generation than the sons of light” (Lk 16:8). Take a look at the history in the last 200 years. What were the main targets they took out before the dictators were able to come to power? If you can DESTROY THE FAMILY, there will be NO VIABLE RESISTANCE LEFT to these ruthless, Godless and shrewd people to render us totally their slaves. “But because of false brethren secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage” (Gal 2:4). Just about all the participants at the tea parties do not realize that the horse is already out of the barn!
So many fathers of our families today have a beer in one hand and Playboy in the other. So they are not interested in politics, eternity or God, or as Chesterton wrote “eternal vigilance”; they are happy and consumed in their pleasures today. The good abandoned mothers, who have tried to be both the mother and the father to her children, have not been able to adequately substitute for the unique God-given essential role of the father of her children. “DON’T WORRY; BE HAPPY; NO ONE GOES TO HELL ANYMORE; TOMORROW WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF!” So the great majority are happy on the sidelines. There are fewer and fewer today who are willing to train and sweat so as to play on the field. And most of those who try to play on the field do not realize their greatest weapons in this great “cosmic struggle”.
If we do not wake up and realize the “real threats” and the real fundamental solutions, we will be condemned to not dust off and use our heavy artillery and to continue to put Band-Aids on the dying body until it is dead.

Looks like everyone is on the right track here, in that HR45 is DOA into the process...
What we should realize is that HR45 is un-necessary to achieve the goal of the liberal statists desire to register, ban, and confiscate as many firearms as possible in the future...
Gun control supporters will now soon realize, if not already in work...Because other than the HR45 bill, has anyone seen a “real” concerted effort to continue the gun-control litiny of statements that get our panties in a wad??? No...
What will soon become a “healthcare” crisis (remember, they don’t want to waste a good crisis) an un-elected Healthcare Czar can take the gun-control goal and issue and make it easier to broach the subject of registration, banning and eventual confiscation away from the legistlative, executive and judicial branches of our government and turn it into a healthcare issue, with full support and no direct downside to the branches of our government...
Don’t even worry about the Constitution and the Bill of rights now...Those documents have now become null and void concerning this issue as of tomorrow night...
All sorts of avenues will be open for our Right to Keep and Bear Arms to be eliminated from unalienable, individual rights in this country...
If I was one of the bad guys...This is exactly how I would do this...
