This fourth grade girl thinks she is about to give a school report on where her Dad is stationed in Iraq and is surprised when he shows up for her report.
Video brought tears, comments brought disgust.
>>I got tears in my eyes watching this young girl’s reaction to who it is she sees. Short, but very powerful. <<
Me, too! Her expressions, from shock to surprise to overwhelmed are what any and all of us would hope from our children.
God bless her and her daddy (and mommy of course!)
Thanks for this. The headline brought a smile to my face, and the video tears to my eyes. God bless our troops and their families.
I practically choked on my sandwich laughing and crying at the same time.
Thanks for the warning on the comments. I didn’t read them.
The FR comments are sure to be much nicer anyhow.
Wow what a tear jerker. The daddy and the little girl will never forget that moment the rest of their lives. Thanks for the link.
Dang it. Monitor’s getting fuzzy. Probably just something electronical...
Well, sorry to burst your bubble but it was posted this morning. It is awesome. It brought back a special memory for me when or family was separated from our dad in 1964-1965—we in VA while he was in the Philippines. We did make it there after having been apart for a year. My brothers and I (we were age 10, 9, 7, and 6) nearly tackled our dad when we saw him as we got off the plane. Our dear mother never stood a chance for getting first hugs and kisses. This video clip is so precious...an awesome keeper!
What comments are you referring to?
No words can describe that meeting!!!
Thank You!
The comments people posted to the site where the video is. People never cease to amaze me in how low and crude and nasty they can be.
The video link I watched it at this morning was from a different source...none of that nasty, crude, low-life scum-bucket crap.
This is wonderful.
Thanks for posting this, it was nice to see. Its a shame that news like this seldom gets reported.
Most excellent.
This actually happened the last day of school in June, 2009, at Randolph AFB, San Antonio.
