I did not want to vote for the Dem for NYC mayor, so I found a nice Conservative candidate. He doesn’t have a chance, but he makes it possible to vote against Bloomberg.

I really haven’t been paying attention to Bloomberg’s race. Who’s he losing to? Someone more conservative, I hope...

Verge of defeat? Last thing I saw on Fox was Bloomberg up 50%-47% with 82% of the votes in. That's not a crushing win and it isn't enough to call it, but unless the hold out precincts are Thompson's home it looks like Bloomberg is winning.

If Thompson wins, I think I’m going to buy a bunch of U-Haul stock. People will be fleeing NYC by the boat-load.

Bloomberg spent 35 million dollars of his own money to win and surprise, the race is close. I saw him go up on stage to make the win speech then...crickets!
Hope he lost, just because he is so very arrogant.

See post #4. It would NOT be a good thing if Bloomberg lost.

New York is a VERY Democrat city. Bill Thompson is the City Comptroller nd a minority. The Democrats hvae lost 4 straight mayoral elections (to Rudy twice and to Bloomberg twice.) This would be teh fifth in arow if Bloomberg holds on. Bloomberg rammed through a change to the City Charter to repeal teh term limits the voters of NYC had enacted.

Bloomberg is a liberal anyway. If I were in the city, I would have voted Conservative.
