Can that founding document, which is supposed to restrain the power and reach of a centralized federal government, slow down the juggernaut of czars, health insurance overhaul and anything else this administration and Congress wish to do that is not in the Constitution?

I guess if the Tenth Amendment can't, we'll have to fall back on the Second.
The “good guys” on the SCOTUS are willing to defend the unborn, but seem to have taken no stand on the 10th Amendment, enforcement of which would instantly kill off the entire Leftist assault on America. They are too busy playing the legalistic game of case law and precedents to invoke the 10th.
Last that I heard...the Constitution has been suspended...
Where are the brave governeors willing to put the 10th Amendment to the test? Most seemed to be focused on health care reform and waiting for it to pass, but they could go to work immediately on something like the No Child Left Behind Act that deals with something that has long been the role of states - education. Of course they would have to give up all the money that goes with it, which is why I am guesssing we don’t hear anyting about the 10th and NCLB.
I doubt that the Tenth Amendment alone will save us. But the Tenth and the Second Amendments in concert might.
Its up to the people in the states to put hard core “limited government conservatives” into state office. When that happens we will see those states make a stand.
Texas would be an excellent place to start this process. ;^)
We need governors willing to impose state sovereignty and tell the fed to BACK OFF. The creep of the central government has been slow and steady. The states need to exert themselves.
Where in the world do you get that idea? Never has a single SCJ been willing to admit the personhood of the unborn.
You don’t think Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas are pro-life?
