How can an X chromosome be nearly as big as the head of the sperm cell?
No, this isnt a mistake. First, theres less DNA in a sperm cell than there is in a non-reproductive cell such as a skin cell. Second, the DNA in a sperm cell is super-condensed and compacted into a highly dense form. Third, the head of a sperm cell is almost all nucleus. Most of the cytoplasm has been squeezed out in order to make the sperm an efficient torpedo-like swimming machine.

Bookmarked! That was highly cool. My kids have got to see this.
Cool!
Very cool.
Thanks. Great reminder in the morning just how amazing life is. Hard to imagine that this all just happened accidentally.
Thanks for posting! Bookmarked for the kids. :)
Exceptional, thanks!

Very cool. There used to be something similar that showed the spread in size from an electron, through trees and the earth, to the extents of outer space. I lost the bookmark in a hard-drive crash, though.
This cool. I guess big things can come in small packages.
Far out !
“How can an X chromosome be nearly as big as the head of the sperm cell?” to play w/ evolutionists heads.
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
Very cool! Thanks! ;-)
Very cool! Thanks! ;-)
pretty cool.
Sending to my kids as well. Way cool.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks to all. I agree it’s truly a cool one....
Remember, evolutionist biologists have to remind their students that the intricate machine they find which we call the human body was NOT designed.
They have to remind themselves and others every time they look at the ridiculous intricacy which is required for our bodies function all happened just by chance and we are just the result of a one in a billion billion billion lucky shot in the dark happenstance.
The moving target known as irreducible complexity is no friend of the evolutionary scientist.
Behe’s newer book, “The edge of evolution” discloses a rather odd take on his perspective of the appearance of humans. Apparently, he believes humans did evolve from lower animals, but life did not spring from abiogensis. Common descent is probably in there somewhere. Seems to match the Hugh Ross view.
