I don’t know who said it, but as someone who is tortured every night and suffers from the affects of long-term sleep deprivation, I certainly do believe it!!

God bless you. My own royal slumbers have recently been marred by new medications prescribed by my nefarious Herr Doktor, and I have not been remiss in consoling myself for this deprivation. I shall man up.

I recall an old Guindon (Mpls. Star & Tribune) cartoon. Two old gals are talking and the one says something like “And my age, I’m just not comfortable anymore with making such big changes in my life at 2 in the morning.”

If your preggy, in the hospital we use to give tea and a saltine cracker for morning sickness...even at night...Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t....fingers crossed for you...that last tri semester is a tough one...
To: goat granny
Thanks, goat granny! I’ve got about four weeks to go and get hungry/sick in the middle of the night. My routine is to eat a cheese stick with a few crackers and drink a small glass of milk. Takes awhile but seems to help. I’ll get to go back to bed soon. Now if I could just convince the other kids to sleep in!!

Doesn't that bind you up?

Sweetheart you eat whatever your body tells you to eat. I lived off of baked potato no butter with shredded mozzarella and get this, one package of drained frozen spinach. I ate this sometimes three times a day. It was all I could stand. The smells of everything made me sick. Only gained 12 pounds. But once that baby was born...!
All the best to you.

I’m sitting at 18 pounds right now and am planning on getting this baby out on the 30th. I know I really don’t get to choose like that but I’m going to try really hard anyway!! Ha! Considering I gained 50 pounds with the first one, I’m thinking I’m doing pretty good. It’s amazing how different each pregnancy is. I get severe heartburn with almost everything I eat so I’ve had to be extra cautious. I’m so ready for this month to fly by!!!!

Near the end the doctor was concerned that I had not gained weight. He asked me what was the problem. I said EVERYTHING gives me heartburn or makes me sick or both. He said I could take Pepcid AC(spelling). I cried thinking why didn’t he tell me this sooner? So, I was going to be able to eat anything I wanted for the last four weeks. I thought, this is going to be a great month! The baby came two weeks later.
18 pounds is nothing!

I did it the proper way.
Stayed up 'til 2 AM and set the clock back to 1:00
...but an hour later it was 2 AM again and I had to repeat the whole process.
I finally quit this morning after the sun came up...and it was 2:00 AM.
