NEW YORK (AP) - Sting isn't a religious man, but he says President Barack Obama might be a divine answer to the world's problems.
In an interview, he jokes that Obama was "sent from God," but in a serious tone, he also said that Obama was the best person to handle the world's "mess."
The English-born Sting says he's fascinated by American politics and those opposed to Obama. He says Obama's opponents are "aggressive and violent and full of fear."

Being a Bass Player myself, I have to tell you that Sting’s lines are so simplistic that anyone can play them. One might say they HAVE to be simple because he sings at the same time. But that’s really no excuse, as I have been learning McCartney (He SINGS TOO!) and Chuck Rainey (Steely Dan) lines and I sing at the same time as well. Just a little note from an insider. I have lost a lot of respect for Sting since I actually started playing the Bass!
