Trillion dollar+ budget deficit for the fiscal year 2009 and the money keeps flowing! Must be ultra income redistribution!
TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: economy; freelunch; welfare
I got this in an email. Didn't know about this new entitlement program...
I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his "Obama phone." I asked him what an "Obama phone" was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window. You can click on the link below to read more about the "Obama phone"...just have a barf bag ready.

It’s going to be interesting comparing October 2009 federal spending to October 2008 federal spending. This current administration shifted so much spending forward, beyond the September 30th fiscal year end in order to cause the deficit to appear smaller... down to $1.42 trillion!
That’s the reason the cash for clunkers $$ were held up, as well as many other gov’t payments. The gov’t operates on a cash basis and does not recognize and expense until the cash is paid, no matter how much is sitting there unpaid in accounts payable.

This is just infuriating to me! When did this start? I couldn’t tell based on the link, but from my email the guy said that the one he talked to called it Obamaphone because he thought the program came from Obama. Why wouldn’t we believe that based on everything else he has done..

Wow! Thanks for the info. will send this to my friend. Disheartening how much we have let the gov’t take on all of these programs. I thought I was a vigilant citizen, but so much gets by and passed that even I don’t know about. :/
