Though his channel remains public, Pastor James David Manning has been restricted from posting new material on YouTube for “hate speech”, simply for stating his religious views.
With the passage of the new “hate crimes” bill, this opens up the door for an all out assault on religion and free speech.
I’ve reported several times over the last week that the most popular YouTube channel dedicated to Michael Savage has been repeatedly banned from YouTube over the last few days. Who will be next?

I think we will increasingly need to find off-shore locations to host content. With the way things are going, we will eventually have more liberties with data centers located in China, Russia or Iran than here in the states.
You Tube has always banned people they do not like - numerous flaps made them recant somewhat, but now they have a law that supports their leftist ideology. Get used to it, or find a different service.
Good point! Perhaps the UN hate speech efforts will restrict that possiblity as well.

Sort of a "pre-Internet" network of e-mail servers that used phone lines and modems to allow relaying e-mails between servers.
Very primitive compared to what we have now...but it doesn't depend upon the government controlled and monitored Internet
Along with that is the idea of logging on to bulletin board servers using phone networks and modems...slower and less convenient, but there is no dependence on the Internet

The UK is getting worse then the US, as in the ban of Michael Savage, so I doubt that they will be of much use.

They are owned by Google which will have shareholder implications.
I suspect Rev. Manning has been receiving threats as well. He has mentioned a few times over the last week that “they might put me in jail, but i won’t go away”.
So you’ve got Rev. Manning being silenced on youtube (for starters), Michael Savage being silenced and Lou Dobbs receiving death threats and his home being shot at with his wife in the driveway. And the rest of the media has gotten the strong hint that if they act like Fox News they will be bad mouthed and lied about and maybe even worse. Their FCC licenses revoked?
This is it folks. It’s on. They’re going after the people and the media that bring us together and let us express our right to free speech and hear the free speech of others.
YT is owned by Google. We already know Google's political bent.

If I were out to ban “hate speech” I’d fine any local node server for distributing it. An offshore host won’t work well if the DNS servers, backbone routers, and local nodes get big fines for “distributing hate speech”.

We have learned this lesson in the past with BigMedia and BigAcademia. Conservatives vacated the field and left it to the leftists who used it to bash us relentlessly and sell their potion of moral license and big brotherism to the nation.
Slowly, conservatism is getting its voice heard through outlets like EIP, talk radio, and some on FoxNews.
On the internet, the freedom of blogdom made it possible for many outlets, Free Republic being the premier conservative site, to thrive and have an impact.
Rather than bemoan YouTube (and I’m sure FaceBook and Twitter will follow), conservatives should approach a technically proficient conservative with the ability and resources to put up a FreeTube, a FreeBook, and a Free-ter.
Maybe our own Robinson family, with their contacts in cyberworld, knows someone(s) with that mix of expertise and resource.
That is untrue .
This isn't a freedom of speech issue. It's about someone who owns an asset being able to say what is and is not permitted on their property. It's the same reason the owner of Free Republic has the right to moderate or determine what is permissible to publish - it's his property.
If the courts were allowed to step in and say freedom of speech applied, Free Republic wouldn't be able to stop radical liberals from posting their own stories or drowning out the discussion here. We may not like the application in this particular instance, but the Constitutional right to determine what is and is not permissible on your "land", so to speak, must be protected at all costs.
