A day later the Rydberg family is still sickened by Ronnie's death.
"Today was very hard. It's not everyday you have to go pick out a casket for your older brother," said Josie Rydberg.
Josie Rydberg knows she can't have her brother back, so instead she's placing hope elsewhere.
"We want this to be over with. We want peace."
Peace seemed much closer when, this afternoon, Omaha police announced an arrest.
"In the course of the investigation, officers were able to make an arrest of Flor Campos as an accessory to a felony for her involvement in this case," said Michael Pecha with the Omaha Police Department.
That was great news, just a day after the crash that killed their loved one. Police had been looking for two men who fled from a red truck after they allegedly ran a red light and caused the crash near 42nd and Q.
"We are angry. We want justice," said Ryberg.
That's part of the reason the family didn't understand Flor Campos' arrest. What did this 24-year-old woman allegedly do to be an accessory if she was not one of the two men in truck when the accident happened?
The family learned Tuesday night.
Police say after the accident that killed Ronnie Rydberg, Campos drove the two men who fled from the scene down to Kansas City where she put them on a bus to Mexico.
The good news is that police know who they are looking for. It's a 24-hour bus ride from Kansas City to El Paso, Texas. Campos was arrested in Omaha at 5 a.m.
That means unless the men went directly with Campos to Kansas City and boarded a bus to El Paso almost immediately, there's a good chance police either did or could have someone waiting for them when the bus arrives in El Paso.
Prayers that the law beats them there!
Accidents like this are occurring on a daily basis in our nation. Remember the illegal alien who caused school childrens' deaths a short while back? A friend of ours was hit at an intersection (his car badly damaged) and the likely illegal alien driver and his passengers in the other car bailed and ran. Many here from Mexico and South American speak nor read little, if any, English, yet they drive our roads each and every day.

Its not like they can’t make a phone call at one of the stops and find out thats someone is waiting for them in El Paso and change buses or something to another border city.

To the illegals and their advocates, those Americans are just disposable. Illegals, on the other hand, are precious and should never even be offended.

It’s not that they don’t think it exists. They just don’t see the problem. It doesn’t happen to them or their families. It just happens to the disposable and defensible citizens they despise. What’s a few thousand deaths a year of the unimportant when it brings in more Dem votes and donations from Tyson? It’s just the price to be paid and we exist to serve our “representatives”.
I’m sure I don’t need to add an “/s” to that, but I think that’s how many of those people think.
