Obama friend and latino mentor George Lopez showed his true colors in May of 2007. Read article for more idiot quotes. I believe his new show comes on soon. Let's all boycott it, shall we?

Hey George, get over yourself. You're just selling soap, and apparently didn't meet your numbers. You have no right to be on television just because you are of Mexican heritage.

P.S. Don't spend so much time in the sun!

His entire act is accented gibberish with a few lines in Spanish interjected at times he deems comedically expedient. Think “I Love Lucy”

George Lopez, the first Latino to lead a television series successfully, isn't laughing. "TV just became really, really white again," he said.

So... Freddie Prinze - not latino
Desi Arnaz - not latino

In Freddie case, he was only half Puerto Rican, but I guess being half only counts for some people. Desi Arnaz, however, was 100% Cuban and he and Lucille Ball had to fight the fact that he was "too Latin" to get "I Love Lucy" on the air with him as her husband.

If they had to show that crap, they should have aired it at 10:00 PM instead of 8:00 PM.

Seems to me that there has been a flurry of minorities on TV shows preseeding and following the election . Especially Minorities in Charge. Say what you want but this is a VALID observation . There is also an over abundance of minorities in TV commericals as well. I want to know when WASPS like me will start to get some breaks from now being a minority in this grand ole country. ( Guess I shouldn’t hold my breath )

Jorge Lopez is also a big supporter of amnesty for illegals.

Can’t stand him.

As for TV being “whiter,” I guess he hasn’t seen all the endless black comedies that air all day long on many cable channels, including the CW.

I love that show, but was pretty amazed they showed that at 8pm. The previews for next week include a pretty graphic (for 8pm) sex scene. Did enjoy the obvious Pelosi mega bitch clone in the Clemente character. It couldn’t have been more obvious who they modeled her after.

As others have said, there have been Latinos on TV long before, in Desi Arnez case, some 50 years or so.

Like all liberals, history started the day they were born. People who are Leftist have an ego the size of the moon.

That’s very true! I only watch Fox News and some reality shows like “Hell’s Kitchen.” Never saw Lopez’s show, and as a Latina myself, I know I haven’t missed much. I’d rather watch Chef Ramsey rant at his young protegee-wannabes than Lopez being “funny.”

Every time I turn on TV, there's some feel good piece on how some minority or other has taken advantage of a million dollar grant to learn to get the hell out of his/her own way. I wonder if they'll ever match up their future convenience store videos.

I thought the Sen Clemente character was modeled after Hillary or Barbara Boxer....LOL! But you’re right, Sen. Clemente did, in fact, have alot of Pelosi’s annoying character traits.....or lack thereof.

The Sen. Clemente character told the FBI official that in her flash forward, she saw herself as president in 6 months.
At the end of last night’s show, the current president (Peter Coyote) announced that Sen Clemente was his choice to replace the deceased previous vice president (who was killed when Air Force Two crashed on October 6th when the entire human race blacked out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds).

Desi Arnez was a business genius. He with Lucy pioneered the TV sit com as an independent production house. The two of them dictated their terms to the Network and won. To compare this flunky to Desi is rediculous. I believe to this day, I Love Lucy is the historically highest rated show to ever have aired on TV. Further, does this “mexican” think his show will be in re-runs 60 years from now. Doubt it. Never watched the show - because like all of todays sit-coms - they are predictable, patronizing and anti-man. Sometimes I believe they just re-use sit com scripts with new actors. Can’t think of one I have watched in the last 15 years. The last good one was “Malcolm in the Middle”. Outside of that highlight can’t think of any.

Desi and Lucille = gifted entertainers and pioneers of early television. On TV in an era when actual talent was required.

George Lopez = a talent-vacuum who rips off more comedians than Dane Cook, whose skin looks like last year's golf glove, and has apparently never heard of Freddy Prinze, Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, etc.

There are just a few shows I really watch anymore on Tv, everything I do watch is pre-recorded except FOX news so I can skip the commercials, the rest of my time is now on the puter and watching Bluray movies, the ones that I did NOT see at the movie houses.

Its too expensive to travel and pay for expensive popcorn so I wait for movies to come out on disc, I will not be a subject of any form of economic stimulus by participating in commercials so that is why I record on my Dishplayer.

And when the internet is gone and TV is a pure propaganda tool then I will get a HAM radio.
