From the Modern Libertine Dictionary -

Shame: (definition) Middle English, from Old English scamu; akin to Old High German scama shame
Date: before 12th century

Archaic

1. Used by white skinned Christian oligarchs to shame minorities and women into behaving against their natural instincts.

2. Fundamental learning tool that establishes great civilizations.

3. Something having to do with God a myth made up by white skinned oligarchs to control the population.

Ed. Note: this term is no longer in common use and is scheduled for deletion after the next census.

OK. What is a horny teenage boy to do? He spends 6+ hours a day in school with all these pretty girls, many dressed like Madonna or worse. Why does everybody wonder that a good portion of the girls get pregnant? Well, duh!

I was one of those HTBs & I can still remember those days. The girls were the center of attention of the boys, & most of the fights & classroom disruptions were over a girl. The teacher is conjugating a verb while the goddess sitting next to me is, well, a goddess. What do you think I learned that day?

The solution is sex segregated schooling after the 5th or 6th grade thru graduation from high school. And that includes teachers, too, though I might allow the exceptions of those really old, mean women teachers to teach boys.

If you take the sex out of the schools, more learning & less disruption will result. Perhaps fewer girls will get pregnant. I know the boys will get a better education, & likely so will the girls.

After school & weekends is plenty of time for socializing.

School is about EDUCATION, not sex!

Simple...welfare is a career choice.Decent money...no fear of layoffs...everything taken care of.*Everything* (there are TV ads here in MA for free *cell phones* paid for by the government).

It's a no brainer.

I propose unisex uniforms. Yep. That'll do it.

I guess because the little "welfare queens" can now collect payments for two, section-8 for housing, food stamps, medical care, help with utilities......and all kinds of goodies.

It's very different now from what it was in your description above. For instance, in at least Illinois and Wisconsin, if the mother doesn't identify the father so his wages can be garnished for child support, she gets no cash assistance. Section 8 housing in any larger city is really difficult to get. The wait time can be well over a year and if, after moving in, you have a change of circumstances, you have to move out.

Why Did 1 In 7 Girls Get Pregnant At Robeson High?

Because they were having sex?

Hear, hear!

Just got a form from my son’s middle school (he’s in the 6th grade) letting us know about upcoming sexual education courses. There are evening meetings for parents to hear what they would like to teach our children about sex.

My first thought: I’ve taught my son all that is appropriate for him to understand about his body and human sexuality (the biology of it all, the purpose, etc.). I don’t need the school to do this for me; it’s my job as a parent.

And my follow-up thought: they’ve been ‘educating’ kids about sex for years, under the guise of informing them so they can make better decisions. All I’m seeing is continued teen pregnancy and STD diagnosis, an increase in promiscuity, and a lapse in morality. How is this ‘education’ helping again?

What astounds me from this article: ‘Just because you have a baby doesn’t mean your life is over.’ What a horribly sad statement on their view of human life.

I like the idea of uniforms, too, though a coat & tie is a bit too much for me. Basic uniforms AND GROOMING resolve a lot of issues at schools and for parents.

But you can put a goddess in a garbage bag, & most of the boys will still have their eyes (and thoughts) glued to the bag.

When I was in high school, the girl who became pregnant was sent by her parents to another state to have the baby.

I do not mind the idea of uniforms in a private school, but uniforms in a goverment school? no way, its too much like the Adolf Hitler thinking.

It doesn’t always work though. I have heard that one of the all-girl Catholic high schools here in Houston has a fairly high number of pregnanies and, like pregnancies in a lot of affluent schools, many end in abortion.

<where he be stay’n.

Why the hell do they say that? Unless you are ‘staying’ at a hotel, don’t you live somewhere? I hate that phrase.

That comment from Detroit about Obama’s stash should become a political commercial against liberalism

Why did 1 in 7 girls get pregnant at Robeson High?..

One of the predictable consequences of LBJ's so called "Great Society" policies.

As I said, uniforms in public schools solve a lot of problems. Poor kids are dressed just like the rich,, so no friction there. Gang members cannot display their colors. Offensive messages on shirts are out, as is sexually provocative clothing. Anyone dressed differently on campus stands out as a potential intruder, increasing safety.

As for families, with uniforms there are no morning arguments about the appropriateness of an outfit, as well as no argument at the clothing store about school clothes.

I'm not talking about a UNIFORM like the military or scouts wear. Just some khaki or dark pants, socks & hard sole shoes, & 2-3 collared shirts, pull over or button up. Similar for girls.

This is the uniform of my local public schools, & it makes good sense & saves some good cents for families, too.

I don't buy your Hitler comparison. Our brave soldiers wear a uniform, scouts wear uniforms, park rangers, firemen, & policemen wear uniforms. Clearly, the best part of America wears a uniform. Even Captain Kirk wore a uniform! :) I don't recall Hitler when I see these people, nor when I see kids dressed uniformly in school.

What I have seen recently that reminds me of Hitler is the video of school kids singing the “Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmmm” song. I don't believe I saw any uniforms. Liberals (nothing personal) hate uniforms. I am far more concerned about what kids learn in school that what they wear.

As long as boys have outies & girls have inies, nothing will ALWAYS work.

But 6+ hours of academics absent of the opposite sex seems better than 6+ hours of “pinch & tickle” in a coed school, if an education is your goal. Six plus hours of “doing without” might just give kids the strength to resist temptation the other 18 hours a day. Perhaps it will give the mind the opportunity to overcome the hormones.

I remember those spring dresses & skirts. Oh boy! I might as well have tried to learn biology or chemistry at poolside of the Playboy Mansion.
