PLAINFIELD, Conn. Police say a Connecticut animal control officer has died a week after being knocked down by a pit bull that was threatening a family in Plainfield.
Police and a funeral director say 47-year-old Theresa Foss died Thursday at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Her cause of death wasnt released. Police say the dog did not bite Foss, and Charles Gagne of Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home in Jewett City says her death was not related to the Sept. 29 incident.
Huge lady, maybe she had health problems.
One, I don’t believe the owner killed the dog. Two, if the pit bull had nothing to do with her death, why mention it in the headline?
I’m all for putting down pit bulls, but if “knocking down” is now the criteria, I know some slobbery golden retrievers that will have to be put down.
She suffered a head injury in the incident.People of all ages die from head injuries but her size might not have helped either.

Unless she had lost a substantial am't of weight since the 2005 video, I'm not buying that the dog knocked her down. I suspect she collapsed--maybe from an aneurysm, stroke, diabetes related...
RIP.
