Depends how you view the issue. But it is at least addressing the issue which is something Rush, Sean, Mark, Michelle, Laura and the others have agreed not to do.

Most people won’t watch it and thonk it’s making fun of birthers. They will just remember that Obama can’t produce his BC.

For humor to work it has to be based in truth. The skit is based on truth. And the fact it was done shows they are scared of this issue or else they would just ignore it completely. But they know that is no longer an option. The Washington comPost has recently had several articles concenring the issue. But nothing from the right. Strange.

Sorry, but I disagree. The left turned Dan Quayle into a punchline and Jerry Ford, the most athletic man to ever serve in the White House, into an uncoordinated boob. The routines were endless and devastating to their careers and to conservatism. They are laughing at us, not with us.
This shite isn’t funny, especially when we are paying for it with our own tax dollars.
Perhaps conservatives can address the birther issue by attending town halls sponsored by RINO politicans. Deamnding RINOs to take a stand on the birther issue is a good way to defeat RINOs and replace with conservatives.

Well it worked and that is the point. THe problem is conservatives have no humor concerning anything. We are supposed to be “nice”.
And now the left is making fun of the birther issue because they can. Conservatives in the media are MIA because they are a bunch of spineless twits.
There is something to talk about concerning his BC and canservative talking heads say nothing whatsoever. Thus signaling to the left to have fun.
Bill framed the skit as being “the first time anyone dared to mock the First Lady” and asked Wallace to comment on that with zero reference to the obvious shocking “birther” aspect of calling the President a liar over his birth location.
Remember that political skits are only humorous if there is a foundation of some truth. Whether Obama knows he was born in Kenya is binary with not much wiggle room for humor!
I think Bill is deliberately and cunningly evading the FOX ban on covering the issue (under Obama Admin threat of FCC screwing with Murdock) but getting the message across...to me anyway! First, he is not covering the “birther” issue directly but covering another networks mention of the topic. Second, he frames the skit as mocking Michelle. Mocking Michelle? How is calling Obama a liar (in jest???) mocking Michelle?
That was my take too, O’r did a very good job I thought. I too think there is a media ban via WH pressure to not cover this issue.
In NAZI Germany many entertainers made fun of the NAZI’s via cloaked humor.
BOR is behind the times. This has been around on YouTube for quite a while...and it was dubbed for Conan’s show. Originally, it did not take place with talk about Zero’s birth certificate. BOR should investigate better. Or offer a disclaimer.
BOR stated it was dubbed and that it wsa played on Conan a couple of nights ago. So he has nothing to investigate.
Most people do not know this issue at all. I agree that presenting this topic actually gives the topic legs.
Most people agree that it’s reasonable to ask for his birth certificate, college records, medical records, and his FBI file. People are asked to piss in a cup and go through credit checks just to get a job at McDonalds, so why not the Messiah?
