Who would plaster his Twitter page with police mug shot photos of convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur? Fox News contributor Marc Lamont Hill did. At least until David Horowitz and Accuracy in Media took notice and wrote about it. Now the page features photos of boxing great Muhammad Ali. Hill's MySpace page is also gone.
There are other changes as well. The tributes to Shakur and black racist Khallid Muhammad, known as "America's Black Hitler," have disappeared from his web pages. The articles were saved, however, and can be found here.

On subsequent occasions, Muhammad praised Colin Ferguson, a black man who had shot some twenty white and Asian commuters (killing six of them) in a racially motivated 1993 shooting spree aboard a New York commuter train, as a hero who possessed the courage to “just kill every goddamn cracker that he saw.” He advised blacks that “there are no good crackers, and if you find one, kill him before he changes.” He told a Donahue television audience in May 1994 that “[t]here is a little bit of Hitler in all white people.” He characterized black conservatives as “boot-licking, butt-licking, bamboozled, half-baked, half-fried, sissified, punkified, pasteurized, homogenized Nigger[s].” On May 21, 1997 he told a San Francisco State University audience that the "white man" is "a no-good bastard. He's not a devil, the white man is the Devil." In September 1997 he said, "If you say you're white, goddammit I'm against you. If you're a Jew, I'm against you. Whatever the hell you want to call yourself, I'm against you."

From the Harlem Film Festival, a pro communist revolution propaganda film on the story of Joanne Chesimard (my words). She (Assata Shakur/Joanne Chesimard) is the godmother of late rapper Tupac Shakur (see Section 5 of my FR Home page: the Brinks robbery and triple murder). Tupac's stepfather (Joanne's brother) was deeply involved in that murder-robbery in which two police officers and one Brinks security guard were gunned down in cold blood.

Assata Shakur/Joanne Chesimard, was questionably arrested and sentenced for killing a cop in the infamous 1973 New Jersey Turnpike shootup of a car carrying Shakur, and two other Black Panthers, one of whom was also killed. Sentenced to Life, she escaped in 1979 from maximum security prison in NJ to eventually emerge in Cuba under Fidel Castro’s protection as a political exile. Assata’s [Joanne Chesimard] writings and presence in Cuba have brought her a huge following as an icon, a heroine – the Che Guevera of Black Liberation – a freedom fighter to thousands of young peoples throughout the world. The State of New Jersey still holds a million dollar bounty on her head–wanted dead or alive!

I used to burn up at his stepping on the lines and thoughts of his guests until I realized it's a charlatan's tactic to drown out opinions other than his own.
I used to be infuriated at his moral equivalencies and playing both sides of the political fence until I realized he's a coward and personally insecure. He will never get over his Levittown mentality and his fear of returning to that way of living.
Now, I don't analyze him any more. He's not worth the time or effort. I've come to the conclusion he is absolutely the dumbest political opiner on television.
His glibness and airhead opinions and "analysis" hide his laziness in research, preparation and political awareness. He either has the worst research staff on talk show TV or he ignores any help from them.

FTA (1972, Francine Parker), the Vietnam War-era documentary, will have an ultra-rare screening in a restored archival print with former FTA cast member Jane Fonda in person, Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm and 9:15pm; the 7:00pm show is sold out. Following the screening, Ms. Fonda will talk about the film and her work in the controversial antiwar touring show in a discussion moderated by David Zeiger, director of the recent documentary Sir! No Sir! A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Iraq Veterans against the War, a nonprofit organization that advocates for ending the war and for providing support to returning service members.
Virtually unseen in any format since a brief theatrical run in 1972, FTA documents "the show the Pentagon couldn't stop." The revue, whose letters were said to stand both for Free Theater Associates and also Free (or, at times, another F-word) The Army, brought antiwar entertainment to military personnel at the height of Vietnam. Performers like Ms. Fonda, Donald Sutherland and Holly Near toured towns near military bases around the US and overseas, lending their support to troops who opposed the war. The film follows the troupe as it travels and performs near US military bases on the Pacific Rim -- Hawaii, Okinawa, the Philippines -- encouraging opposition to the war among the rank-and-file of US forces.
FTA is a gritty mix of rollicking performances and GI interviews, juxtaposing lighthearted political satire with the somber realities of war, occupation, and the absurdities of military life, a barbed rebuke to the staid USO program. From Okinawa to the Philippines, stirred by the show's provocative message, the members of the U.S. military find courage to speak out candidly in front of the camera.
Fonda and Sutherland are joined on stage by an all-star cast of musicians and activists including folk musician Len Chandler and comedian Paul Mooney. A fresh look at the Vietnam anti-war movement through the songs and skits that shook a generation, this film will leave you singing along with the fired-up men and women of the military. There are different thoughts on beauty but true beauty is what one believes in, outside beauty is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I know because of my dad. People, women used to tell me how good looking my dad was but they didn’t have to live through the violence he used on the family. Talking your so called hot dad out of blowing your mom’s brains out, was when I decided as a mere child to beware of the so called hotness.

Let us remember that here on Free Republic, we are mostly linear thinking conservatives. As such it is possible for us to maintain two seemingly (though not actually) contradicting conclusions. One, the opinion that the young Jane Fonda was indisputably beautiful, and the other opinion that I, a Vietnam combat veteran have even as I acknowledge her physical beauty, that she was a traitor for whom hanging by the neck untill she was dead would not have been inappropriate.
