The Extreme Makeover of Fox News: Analyst Marc Lamont Hill [far left radical]
various sources

Posted on 10/09/2009 5:24:37 PM PDT by ETL

Who would plaster his Twitter page with police mug shot photos of convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur? Fox News contributor Marc Lamont Hill did. At least until David Horowitz and Accuracy in Media took notice and wrote about it. Now the page features photos of boxing great Muhammad Ali. Hill's MySpace page is also gone.

There are other changes as well. The tributes to Shakur and black racist Khallid Muhammad, known as "America's Black Hitler," have disappeared from his web pages. The articles were saved, however, and can be found here.

Marc Lamont Hill belongs on PMSLSD, not Fox. I wish Ailes would cancel his consultant contract.

I think BOR is really losing it, if this is what he considers respectable analysis and commentary. Then again, he and Murdoch sold their soles to the devil, to get an interview with Obama....that too was a waste as we now know.

A typical ‘Howard University’ graduate....................a doofus, a moron, a communist,......this guy’s technique is to start talking and never stop. Sounds like a typical angry black woman,....they always raise their voice over yours, and never shut up.............................What the hell is this dolt doing on TV or anywhere else. He should be cleaning toilets at McBamas!

Marc Lamont Hill, Sept 7, 2009...

"I am thrilled to announce that Mumia Abu-Jamal has joined the Barbershop as a weekly contributor!! His column, “Live From Death Row,” will appear every Wednesday starting next week.

Mumia Abu-Jamal is one of the world’s most celebrated journalists, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Since his early days in Philadelphia, Mumia was an active member of the Black freedom sruggle. From his award-winning journalism to his involvement with the Black Panther Party, Mumia has devoted his life to Black liberation. Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner, Mumia has continued to place a spotlight on various forms of injustice around the globe through his numerous columns, commentaries, and books. Mumia has generated international support for his own case, which has been one of the most glaring and repugnant reflections of the criminal (in)justice system."

Never heard of him, but I've seen this story floating around and hadn't read it. I thought somebody was bragging they embarrassed one of the "Reich Wing Faux News" people.

Now, I know why GB is the only thing I watch on Fox anymore.

First of all, he's a friggin revolutionary communist. Second, you should be ashamed of yourself for publicly drooling over this enemy of America. It would be like me saying Jane Fonda is "hot". When it comes to scum like this, appearance shouldn't even enter into the equation. Sorry, just my opinion.

Opposition to Dr. Hill is obviously founded in racism. I am disappointed in Dr. Hill, however, for not standing up for his beliefs and for changing his twitter page. Hang in there Marc with your message of justice and love. Are you embarrassed by your message? Do you think people will not understand? Perhaps people who do not have a PhD in hip hop or voodoo are not sophisticated enough to understand. Like Alan Colms said of Van Jones, “He is a mainstream liberal.” Hakuna Matata All jokes aside I no longer watch BOR.

Appearance always matters. Jane Fonda was hot in her prime, of that, there is no doubt. Part of being conservative is to see reality for what it is. Jane Fonda was a smoking babe that unfortunately chose to be a traitor.

Hill is the typical Marxist shill.

Having his views challenged is one way of giving some a clue who don’t hear the far left first hand.

I bet many would be surprised on FR who have kids in public schools that this is what the majority of teachers sound like and the typical line they push in the classes from elementry grades on up.

It matters how? You would think better of her and what she did because of her appearance? I wouldn't give any traitor the satisfaction of such a compliment. What Fonda did was way over the line.

I used to disagree with O'Reilly's overall "convictions" until I realized he had none that were worthwhile in any respect.

I used to burn up at his stepping on the lines and thoughts of his guests until I realized it's a charlatan's tactic to drown out opinions other than his own.

I used to be infuriated at his moral equivalencies and playing both sides of the political fence until I realized he's a coward and personally insecure. He will never get over his Levittown mentality and his fear of returning to that way of living.

Now, I don't analyze him any more. He's not worth the time or effort. I've come to the conclusion he is absolutely the dumbest political opiner on television.

His glibness and airhead opinions and "analysis" hide his laziness in research, preparation and political awareness. He either has the worst research staff on talk show TV or he ignores any help from them.

Worst of all, awash in his unsurpassable ego, he doesn't even realize that we can see most of his sharper guests rolling their eyes and smirking at him on the split screen. They don't even try to hide it anymore when he comes out with some of his off-the-wall profundities.

Laura Ingraham cleaned his clock again tonight. She's about the only one who has figured out how to get a word in edgewise by courageously going mano a mano with him when he tries to interrupt her or throw her off course. Morris, Goldberg, Rove, Miller and other regulars just sit back like good little boys and take it.

Of course not. That's impossible, and a bit crazy. However, I do try to live up to my principles as best I can. Fonda isn't just some dopey naive liberal. She was and still is a hardcore communist, and of course a traitor to our country.

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."
http://www.wintersoldier.com/index.php?topic=Timeline

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

From 1972: "I am not a do-gooder, I am a revolutionary. A revolutionary woman."

2009!!! FONDA STILL AT IT!! (in New York City, February, 2009)

From her website...

Rare Screening of Restored Archival Print of Classic Vietnam War-Era Documentary

What: Screening of FTA
When: Monday, February 2, 2009
7:00pm, 9:15pm
Where: IFC Center (map)
323 Sixth Avenue
New York, NY, US 10014

With Former FTA Cast Member Jane Fonda in Person
Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm and 9:15pm
7:00pm show sold out!

FTA (1972, Francine Parker), the Vietnam War-era documentary, will have an ultra-rare screening in a restored archival print with former FTA cast member Jane Fonda in person, Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm and 9:15pm; the 7:00pm show is sold out. Following the screening, Ms. Fonda will talk about the film and her work in the controversial antiwar touring show in a discussion moderated by David Zeiger, director of the recent documentary Sir! No Sir! A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Iraq Veterans against the War, a nonprofit organization that advocates for ending the war and for providing support to returning service members.

Virtually unseen in any format since a brief theatrical run in 1972, FTA documents "the show the Pentagon couldn't stop." The revue, whose letters were said to stand both for Free Theater Associates and also Free (or, at times, another F-word) The Army, brought antiwar entertainment to military personnel at the height of Vietnam. Performers like Ms. Fonda, Donald Sutherland and Holly Near toured towns near military bases around the US and overseas, lending their support to troops who opposed the war. The film follows the troupe as it travels and performs near US military bases on the Pacific Rim -- Hawaii, Okinawa, the Philippines -- encouraging opposition to the war among the rank-and-file of US forces.

FTA is a gritty mix of rollicking performances and GI interviews, juxtaposing lighthearted political satire with the somber realities of war, occupation, and the absurdities of military life, a barbed rebuke to the staid USO program. From Okinawa to the Philippines, stirred by the show's provocative message, the members of the U.S. military find courage to speak out candidly in front of the camera.

Fonda and Sutherland are joined on stage by an all-star cast of musicians and activists including folk musician Len Chandler and comedian Paul Mooney. A fresh look at the Vietnam anti-war movement through the songs and skits that shook a generation, this film will leave you singing along with the fired-up men and women of the military. Foxtrot, Tango, Alpha... F*** the Army!

Print courtesy of the Academy Film Archive.

Tickets: $12 IFC Center members, $15 general admission.

There are different thoughts on beauty but true beauty is what one believes in, outside beauty is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I know because of my dad. People, women used to tell me how good looking my dad was but they didn’t have to live through the violence he used on the family. Talking your so called hot dad out of blowing your mom’s brains out, was when I decided as a mere child to beware of the so called hotness.

Let us remember that here on Free Republic, we are mostly linear thinking conservatives. As such it is possible for us to maintain two seemingly (though not actually) contradicting conclusions. One, the opinion that the young Jane Fonda was indisputably beautiful, and the other opinion that I, a Vietnam combat veteran have even as I acknowledge her physical beauty, that she was a traitor for whom hanging by the neck untill she was dead would not have been inappropriate.
