Please reject those who reject Palin (vanity)

Posted on 10/09/2009 5:05:32 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

It appears our party has not learned its lesson.

First Chris Christie rejected Palin's help. and now it appears Bob McDonnell is doing the same thing. There are some very powerfull people in the GOP who are trying to pull things over on us. Sure, they may say all the right things. But open your eyes and pay close attention to what is happening.

I am calling on all Freepers in Virginia to vote against Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell.

this is our party. we have to send a strong message and hit the liberal GOP leadership right between the legs as far as I am concerned.

I don't care if you vote Deeds, Corzine, or vote independent. or don't vote at all.

but do not play along with these losers. Palin is the most independent minded politician in America. They use some internal poll numbers to advance the lie that she turns off independent voters. Look and study her history in Alaska. She owned independent voters because she is independent. She is one of the folks.

Don't believe the lies.

and we have to put a stop to this crap.

So you’re suggesting people vote democrat because they somehow didn’t invite Palin. You’ve lost your marbles or you are a troll.

YEP...we’re having a similar problem in one of Oregon’s Congressional districts....the NATIONAL GOP has chosen the candidate THEY want to run, while we’ve got another guy...whom they would hardly talk to....why? Because he’s never really been elected to any major position....which IN THIS ENVIRONMENT is probably a plus!

I agree. Anyone who is more afraid of Palin than they are of Obama is someone who doesn’t deserve to be in office.

Its too early to know who I’ll support for president. Thats not the point. The point is that the kind of weasels who run like scalded cats at the sound of her name are not the kind of people capable of facing down our enemies.

The kind of people who see her as a rival rather than an ally, likewise, have no chance of receiving my support for dogcatcher or anything else.

Palin is the most independent minded politician in America.

I can appreciate most of Sarah Palin's view.

However, are we in such a sorry state that there is not ONE rightous Christian man that can be put forward as a presidential candidate?

Why our we Christian men letting our Christian women fight the battles for us. We need to repent of that sin.

You are a lunatic or a DU troll. I suspect the latter, but I'll leave room for the former.

Bob McDonnell is as conservative as they come. Didn't the people of your ilk (DUers) just go on a rampage because he wrote a socially conservative thesis 20 years ago?

I like Palin as well as the next person, but what you are suggesting is insanity.

If you want to blame somebody, blame Ed Gillespie. He is running McDonnell's campaign and is the one who told McDonnell to distance himself from Palin. Prior to that, Palin and McDonnell were on good terms.

Christie and McDonnell are saying they don't want outside influence, but Mitt Romney has campaigned on their behalf numerous times.

I disagree with you though, because these are important pickups which will motivate the base in 2010 and both candidates are far superior to the Dems. But I understand what you're saying though, and it'll hurt the GOP in the end.

Sarah Palin seems like a nice lady.

She has nuked Obamacare in less than 160 characters.

She needs to consolidate her friends and trusted advisors.

She’s not ready to take over the leadership of the party yet. She will be in a few years, but that time is not now.

Don’t rush it. When Mrs. Palin has her forces ready she will be unstoppable. But it is better to lose a few early battles, consolidate your forces and overwhelm your opponents at a time of her choosing.

No, you are worshiping a particular person. In the process you are throwing anyone who disagrees with you under the bus.

Think about what you are advocating for a second. You are asking people to vote for baby-killing, homo-loving, gun-grabbing leftists all because you think that people aren't worshiping your favorite candidate enough.

Do you think that Sarah would advocate that?

Bob McDonnell is a reliable conservative. You apparently are not.

How do you reach the conclusion that one who does not invite Sarah Palin to campaign for them does not agree with her basic principles?

I think it is a bad decision not to use her talents but at the same time I can see that some politicians in a state where they might win with a very narrow majority would be afraid to stir things up to much and bring out the liberal vote which would turn against them.

As I said, I disagree with that line of thought, but I can understand it.

It may also be that they plan to use her later, as a closer. It is well known, in sports and especially horse racing and similar sports that one can peak to early.

It is a long time until November 2010 and they well may be waiting to see how well she does helping others.

From C4P website...my additions in ()

"I talked to Bob (McDonnel) personally earlier in the summer about the idea of bringing Palin in. He was stoked about having her campaign with him. If you check out Bob's positions on the issues, you'd swear you were reading Palin's positions--they are that close on the issues. Bob knows the Guv--he was onstage with her at her VA rallies last fall and traveled with her, too. Then the RNC brought in Ed Gillespie (Romney-bot) to run the campaign - and the McDonnell folks did a 180 on Palin."

Re: Why no Christian Conservative (supposedly Republican, I guess) worthy of fighting our battles?

Most Republican politicans are deathly afraid of standing up for their beliefs in the face of:

Being called a racist because they feel affirmative action and preferential treatment is no longer called for.

Being called callous and heartless because they feel people should work and that it is not government's job to wipe everyone's ass.

Being called selfish because they want to keep what they work for

Being called a bigot, homophobe or hater because they want their children to be free from immorality and deviancy

Being called a zealot because they believe in a real God, and that that God is all powerful

on and on and on and on. These 'men' are eunichs and they are to be shunned.

Precisely because of the principle of 'triangulation' and 'nuance'. His 'campaign' has calculated the value against the perceived negative effects [prompted by the nuance of possible negative exposure and comment by MSM] and have concluded that the 'few' conservative right-minded supporters he thinks he already has are the only ones that won't be turned off by supporting a supposed MSM-defined "ditz". In my book this asshole doesn't deserve to be elected shit shoveler if he's down to 'nuancing' like this.

I didn’t really care about politics until I was sitting in my 2nd period High School history class in September 11th, 2001. That is what got my fire burning.

and I saw that the Republican party was the only party that understood what we are still up against. I had studied history. I admire Ronald Reagan and I think we have to be just as strong against terrorism as he was against communism.

Most of my family is Democratic. My grandpa is a Democrat. His dad is a Democrat. I can say that 9/11 changed my life and my destiny.

Yeah, I know the 'honey' thing was a bit much, but you pissed me off.

You need to think about this. Why does she need to right now? So that she can subject herself to a government-controlled media? She knows in her heart she's got the right stuff - family (however troublesome - I've been there), religion, conservatism, love for freedom, individualism and independence. Any fool can see that. Which brings me to why you pissed me off.

In all sincerity, you have a logical dilemma before you.

The Constitution and Declaration of Independence are both based on Common Law, which is based on the God of the Bible's law.

How can you adhere to one and not the other?

McDonnell has not “rejected” Sarah Palin. He has a double digit lead, and he doesn’t need her help, that’s all. Besides, Sarah Palin wants McDonnell to win, because she directed her PAC to donate $5,000 to McDonnell’s campaign.

Stop believing the lies from Politico and the rest of the Democrat-Media Complex.

So you came face to face with your epiphany on 9/11 but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water just because others haven’t met theirs in Sarah Palin. Like you each one has their own to come face to face with. Sarah Palin may or may not be theirs like it or not. That doesn’t make them lesser or to be shunned.

I doubt Sarah Palin would encourage others to do as you are doing at this time. I suspect she’d encourage them to seek the best they can for their area realizing that what works in one state may not work in another. In some areas Sarah Palin maybe an asset where in others she may well be a negative. Personally I’d prefer if outsiders would stay out of my state’s politics on the state/county/local office level.
