Army jet makes gear-up landing at Elmendorf

An Army aircraft made a gear-up landing on an Elmendorf airstrip Tuesday, though no injuries were reported.
The Cessna Citation-560 aircraft was scheduled to land on the main strip and radioed ahead it was having mechanical problems with its gear, Air Force spokesman Master Sgt. Mikal Canfield said.

An Army Citation-560 aircraft was forced to perform a gear-up landing at the Elmendorf airfield at 3:24 p.m. Oct. 6, 2009. Emergency response personnel quickly arrived at the scene; three people were on board no one was injured at the accident.

Cool picture that brings back memories.
I was at Ft Richardson from 88-94, and we always referred to that dusting of snow on the tops of those mountains as "Termination Dust", meaning that summer was gone and winter was "on".
