That’s so grossly cute.
I have raised two pure wolves...they are so sweet.
What are these people crazy?
Yep, we have had a few wolf dogs ourselves. No problems at all. Now that male Dalmatian we had was another story. You had to keep an close eye on him.
I had 2 wolf dogs, both have passed.
Now we have the 100% wolves. They are so dang sweet. My babie. Raised both on a bottle.
Do you notice any difference between them and a run of the mill domestic dog?
There’s a tiny bit of wolf in my hybrid (chosen mix of wolfy malamutt and expensive shepherd breed to survive brutal cold with high winds, avoid hip problems and for longevity), and a little wolf behavior shows. ...still does a good job of guarding livestock. But we understand that if he gets away from the place, it’ll reasonably be ranchers’ open season on him.

A little here and a bit here, but on the most part, different.

They come into the house on a leash, I like my house. They could trash it in minutes. The love and trust the show us, incredible.

Yes and thank you. Looking out the front door into their enclosure jsut basking in them.
I love them and they me.
Of course my 4 lb. dog rules the house and them.
I crack up when Storm stick his nose out and my Tidbit (named because we had no idea what the wolves would think) chews on his nose, all the while is smiling and wagging his tail.
And so, are they safe around strangers?
For those who don’t know, wolves can be domesticated, although they don’t often make good sentries. They don’t bark, and some tend to go with whomever. Coyotes, on the other hand, revert to coyote behavior immediately after weaning and really tear stuff up. But if a wolf strays for long, it will revert and maybe even join a wild pack. ...healthy mix for some of the interbred, sickly purebreds, though.

Shyla, little kids and most women. I think it has to do with the voice. Though I have to say, Woman I am not fond of, she is not either!!!!
Men, not so much. She likes who she knew from 4 wks old. Not trutful, hides. If cornered by a strange man, I have to say good luck to him.
She is NEVER put in that position.
What kind of pets are these? Do they need to roam? Do they howl at the moon and freak your neighbors out? Are they protective? dominate?
I have a standard poodle....a looonnng way away from a wolf.
We were raised with a gray wolf, he was Mom’s pet and our protector. My sister tried to use his ear for teathing, and all he did was cry for Mom to help him. He was just one of us. He lived for 19 years. I took a 3 day pass, when Mom called and told my CO he had had a heart attack, and would he please let me come home before he was put to sleep. He did, I went home and after I left, the vet came to the house and put him to sleep. His name was Yookie. My dad found him as a very new pup, that had been abandond. He was raised on Eagle brand, karro and cod live oil, just like the rest of were.
Could you tell about what they are like? How did you come to have them? Ever aggressive (towards you)? Are they house wolves or stay kept in a pen? Do you get a lot of company?
Final question was meant facetiously.
