"I simply turn on the Golden EIB Microphone and share my honest passions and beliefs with people.
And they're free to go elsewhere.
They're free to ignore; they're free to believe; they're free to be entertained, I don't care.
They're free to do whatever they want.
But a lot of people aren't free to smoke cigarettes where they want;
they're not free to drink where they want;
they're not free to eat the kind of food they want to eat;
they're not free to eat trans fats;
they're not free to drive certain places.
Pretty soon we're going to be told what kind of cars we have to drive.
I can't cause that.
I can't restrict anybody's freedom.
We've elected a guy who can, does, and wants to, all under the guise of saving us.
So I appreciate the effort, and I appreciate somewhat losing my temper here.
But don't compare me ever to an authoritarian who thinks so little of people that without him they can barely breathe on their own.
Don't ever do that."

LEARN IT, LOVE IT, LIVE IT!

If one cannot understand Rush's words above, then one does not truly understand FREEDOM!

Mimi is in bed with Center for Science in the Public Interest......a Soros foundation linked with abortion, human stem cell issues, etc.

I googled Mimi-Soros---and this came up.

Must be Soros taking a bath in his custom-made tub (/snic).

imho the demise of “the playground” has had an effect on america’s children. the playground has been replaced by goal oriented data driven phys ed and video games & that other stuff called playstation, etc...
what ever happened to just letting kids out on school grounds to play? i guess it’s impossible nowadays,for fear kids would walk off school property and go home if they could

I did post the thread in a bad temper. I turned on OR and there she was again. I noticed that both people who were on with her kind of leaned away from her with a kind of leary expression, which tells me she's unpleasant IRL. What's the deal with this twit and why does she think she can tell people what to do? And I read enough Discoverthenetwork.org to understand that behind a lot of charitable foundations is Soros money trying to bully us in one way or another.

Then I read that she's involved with activist film documentaries. I haven't searched yet, but likely I'll find Open Society Institute. That's another 527 that funnels money into helping people make all these ads for the leftists. Very few rightward docs get made because the leftists have the college film departments and even independent film societies all sewn up, hungry for Soros money.

She's high on her own righteous vanity, but there's a tyrant lurking behind her.

The thing about Soros, he just throws money at these people, hoping something will stick and click. If you do research on him, you'll also find dozens, maybe hundreds, of failed activist groups. When you're worth dozens of billions of dollars, a few hundred million is just entertainment expense.

I think you are all missing the main point of the segment. What I got out of it was this:

Both HC bills under consideration have 20%-30% penalties for people with “unhealthy” lifestyles. Then, on top of that, some unelected bureaucrat gets to tack on an additional 20-30% for a total of a 50% uplift on policy cost. It’s bad enough that I am going to have to pay for the illegals and the welfare kings and queens. Now I’m going to have to pay $5700 instead of $3800 just for myself (smoker). And don’t think they won’t go after alcohol and drug users either.

What if the illegal or welfare queen is an obese smoker? (With the welfare queen, it’s almost a given.) Do I then that to pay the premium uplift for them too?

That’s what we need to take away from this segment, not the fact that she is a sanctimonious, pushy, annoying, bitch!
