The White House defended President Obama’s trip to Denmark this week to promote Chicago’s bid for the Olympic Games, saying health care reform is in good enough shape for him to miss a couple of days.
“I think he believes he can do this and get back in time,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. “He felt strongly and personally that he should go and make the case of the United States, and that’s what he’s going to do.”
Obama will lead a delegation that includes first lady Michelle Obama, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, Oprah Winfrey and others.

I think he should spend a solid day with each IOC member and lobby them individually all day long every day. And then travel back on a ship because flying is so dangerous. Maybe he should just dedicate the whole month of October to the effort. He needs to get real busy with this Olympics BS so he does not have any time to screw anything else up.
Chicago is in constant competition for Murder Capitol of the USA. I’m sure the IOC is aware of this. Somehow Orpah and Zero will spin it.

No I could not do that to her. She has survived so much.Last year in Aug she was attacked in my garage by two hot dogs ( read weenie dogs). They mauled her nearly to death. 5 months, 2 surgeries and 3700.00 dollars later she is well and now she is getting over enough of her fear to come out to the front of the house.
However, if I get a second cat, and that means talking the hubster into it, I would be after a white cat to call Ivory.
If Oprah pays for Obama’s trip to Denmark, I don’t have a problem with that. If Obama uses the resources of federal government to solict his city’s bid, then that’s a conflict of interest.
I forgot...she does do a trick. Before she can have her treat she has to say pretty please..so she stands up on her back paws like a pup...then she gets her treat. If she doesn’t do her trick..no treat. Works every time. She is a glutton now.
And imagine toting Oprah in the AF1 when she could afford to buy the jet itself!

That’s what I’m wondering. He is going as “The President”. I watched a program on the History Channel (I think) about Air Force One and everything that is involved for The President to take a trip abroad. It is huge. The amount of people that go ahead of time. Marksmen, the Presidential Limmo, the gasoline suply(quarantined). Here our President has taken quite a few trips. This little jaunt across the pond is a bad idea.
My hubby laughs when I tell her to “ do her 0bama”..kinda got the idea from the youtube where the dog would not take a treat from the lady when she said..and here’s a treat from bama and the dog would look away.
Now if only there was a way to get that cat to say “ that’s racist” like that picture of the little black kid that gets posted now and then.

BO is going over on his B747 with numerous large support aircraft. A large expensive logistic footprint to visit Copenhagen just so you can put Chicago in debt deeper than they already are?
