Amber Alert Issued After Mother Stabbed, Baby Taken Mom Says Attacker Claimed To Be With INS
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- An Amber Alert was issued after a mother was stabbed and her newborn was taken. Police spokesman Don Aaron said police are at a home on East Ridge Drive where, they said, 4-day-old Yair Anthony Carillo was taken at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. The infant is Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of the abduction, he was wearing a blue-and-white-striped onesie. The baby's mother, 30-year-old Maria Gurrolla, was hospitalized after suffering non-life-threatening wounds to her neck, head, thigh and breast, police said. The mother told police the abductor knocked on her door, claimed to be with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and wanted to see the woman's immigration papers. The mother let her enter the home, which is when she was stabbed about eight times. Police described Yair's abductor as a heavyset 5 foot 4 inch tall white woman in her mid 30s with blond hair in a ponytail. At the time of the abduction, she was wearing a black blouse and blue jeans. The woman was driving a black, four-door car. If you've seen the suspect, vehicle or child, contact the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department at 615-862-8600 or Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
Attackers claimed to be Federal Law Enforcement Officers.

I hope it is what she says and the infant is safely recovered.
We had mother and father killed and their newborn baby stolen, back in 1987. I remember being so scared because my son was only a few months old at the time and they lived right down the road from us - my stepdaughter’s grandparents used to buy hay from the grandparents of the baby taken. Both the parents where shot, the dad in the house and the mother outside, as she tried to get away in the car with the baby. Two other children in the home weren’t hurt, they awoke to find their parents and the little 5 year old called a neighbor and then 911. They found the baby a few weeks later.
