A Chicago man has filed a lawsuit against McDonald's Corporation after he says he swallowed a gold earring in his sandwich.
The man purchased the sandwich on Aug. 11 from the McDonald's at Chicago's Navy Pier, according to the suit filed on Wednesday in the circuit court of Cook County, Ill.
The plaintiff, Boguslaw Nedza, claims after he ate the sandwich "the earring became lodged in his throat and stomach and efforts to remove it by emergency personnel were unsuccessful." Nedza is now suing McDonald's for the injuries he sustained from ingesting the jewelry.

During these tough economic times, lawsuits are always good. I never find anything in my McDonald’s “sandwiches.”

If the evidence is conclusive, then in all fairnes this guy should receive payment for medical fees plus $5,000.00.

BOGUSLAW??? Bogus—law? OK. But as emergency couldn’t remove it, how does Boguslaw know it was a gold earring? Hell, it could have been a paper clip!

The earring, being his and placed by him, of course he knew what it was.

Ugh! Nasty image.
Heck, as long as he ring didn’t do any damage I’d high tail right down to the jewelry store. Shouldn’t McDonald’s get the ring back?

An x-ray would have prove he swallowed the ear rings. My sis in law had her vitamins in one hand and her diamond ear rings in the other. She tossed the earrings right into her mouth and swallowed them. She had 2 x-rays showing them on their way down. Not a problem, everything came out alright. ;)

LOL.
I used to use that on friends and say either: toenail, wedding ring, or little skinny tail.
It always produced a good reaction.

Yes hilarious and absolutely true! I expected she would never er.... shall we say..... retrieve the earrings and then if she did she would never wear them again. I was wrong on both counts. She has the 2 x-rays and shows them to anyone who asks. LOL!
My dentist was attempting to put a gold crown on my back tooth and instead he dropped it down my throat. I didn't really feel anything but the look on his face told me something had gone terribly wrong. He immediately said to me, even before I knew what had happened was “you don't have to look for it”. LOL!
