O'Rielly just said 75,000 were in the march, he said the "Let's be careful there, the fire department says only 75,000 were there" when a conservative guest said there were 1 million people there.
Sigh ...
Oh, and it was very clear he wasn’t being sarcastic ...
I think ol Bill would be more at home with the CNN or MSLSD crews. Perhaps he should make the move ...
He’s been saying that all week. Doofus.
Does O’Reilly pay his audience to show up?
The subway alone reported +200,000 increased traffic.
If that’s true there’s a story right there: who from the fire department said what and how informed was he?
That’s the libtard talking point. They couldn’t ignore the whole thing away, so they’re going to repeat the big lie about the numbers until it is accepted by the sheeple.
O’Reilly reminds me of the old Morton Downey talk show. The guy was barely tolerable for all of five minutes before getting the urge to retch.
O’Reilly can eat my shorts.
What an idiot!
He doesn't believe anything he says. He is strictly angling for audience share, nothing more.
He should. Bill is no different than any other MSM elitist.
I knew there was a reason I didn’t watch him. Another liar.
I would be surprised at anythin O’ Rielly said except the truth. Anyone that watches or listens to O’ Rielly is not wise.
For example, the Associated Press "coverage" of the ACORN incident last week only referred to ACORN workers trying to help the young woman disguise her profession of prostitute.
The article made no mention of tax evasion or child sex slavery - because the readers would have had a problem with those little factoids...
This is why their new designation should be ACORN Press (AP).
I still can’t find any quote from the “Fire Department”, nor can I ever remember the “Fire Department” being responsible for crowd estimates.
Bill O’Reilly is of course a moron.
I think that there were between 1.2 million and 2 million American Patriots there!
“When will people finally realize that O’Reilly stratgically stakes positions all over the map so that everybody will find something that they agree with him on?
He doesn’t believe anything he says. He is strictly angling for audience share, nothing more.”
I believe you are 100% correct.
That was just part of the Obama Economic Recovery/Miracle - eager consumers swarming out to put more money on their maxed-out 30% interest rate credit cards - because Obama has saved us all...
;-)
O’Moron constantly repeats lies of his leftist guests. Just this week I heard him repeat the 75,000 figure and then he repeated the lie that the O’Keefe and Giles were turned away at lots of ACORN offices.
My guess is that O’Moron wants a MSM anchor job and think he will get one with big numbers on FNC while buying into some percentage of leftwing looniness.
I think I would watch msnbc before watchimng oreily again.
The man is a scumbag.
join (oathkeepers.org)
he’s not a bright man
a fireman?
that so foolish
a fireman (before the protest even got going) said a number(to somebody) so he goes with that?
LMAO
open your eyes O’Reilly and check out the moving elbow to elbow crowd marching over a mile and a half long on a wide DC avenue..... and those weren’t counting the ones on the side streets and the Mall already
and another thing...... a large percentage of those people who marched the mile and a half and then went back home and didn’t attend the rally afterwards, so no one picure ever caught all of the protestors at once, not even close
As a DC Metro native I’ve been attending big events in DC and on the Mall since I was a toddler (JFK funeral).
Looking at the Breitbart time-lapse vids and some other photos, I’ll stick with my first guesstimate of maybe 200,000 to 300,000 max.
1 million seems excessive, 2 million is absurd.
I wonder when he asked?
-PJ
On my flight out of DC (to Thunder Ranch) on Sunday, I read thethe Washignton Post and it reported 2 Million “Plus” in attendance.
Say, the DC fire department (that reported 60,000-75,000 attendance) wouldn’t be a Union shop, would it?

Well, someone is tuning into his crappy show.
I have never trusted him. He has no character.
Anyone who can stand him waving and pointing his damn pen at them at the end of his show is fool enough to watch him and give him ratings.
Pompous a-hole!

O'Reilly seems to think he can lure liberals to his show and pick up ratings if he jabs at conservatives and kisses Obama's south end on a regular basis.
There are more than 300,000 visible in that one photograph, posted earlier in the thread.
2,000,000 may be an upper-end estimate, but it is completely plausible.
Since when does the fire department have anything to do with crowd control?
Actually it is that single photo that’s caused me to be even MORE skeptical that attendance exceeded 300,000, or even 250,000.
Because what you see is what you get.
There’s no other place on or near the Mall for people to be hidden (except inside the museums).
This is a repeat show from early in the week. O’Reilly does not work on weekends.
They should stick Beck in that time slot. Beck is the only reason people are sticking around until 8pm
Did any of you see the thread last night that had the over head picture of the rally? It showed almost the whole crowd, and if there were only 75,000 people there then I will eat my hat, without salt.
BOR. I used to watch his show every night. I read his book “Bold Fresh” recently and unlike other autobiographies where you like the author more if you liked him before, I liked him less at the end of his book.
I saw him insist this week that there were only 75,000 at the rally. There was an aerial study of the crowd done, and there were about 1.3 million at the 9-12 rally.
BOR recently had a good natured spar with Glenn Beck where BOR said Zero was certainly not a radical or a socialist or a marxist...etc and Glenn said “Oh really?” and gave us his bemused grin and look of astonishment.
BOR has lost it. He’s shilling for the big Zero interview.
I didn’t used to yell at BOR from my LazyBoy. But lately, he’s not just fair and balanced, he’s going lefty on some stuff. He’ll always be on the side of protecting kids from evil, but in the political realm, he’s all soft and mushy and ignoring glaring fact to appear to be “fair”.
O’Reilly is one of the most disingenous people I’ve ever encountered. But he does fear one thing—Fairness Doctrine.
Still proud to say I’ve never watched BORe and getting prouder by the day. I pegged this phony sack of crap when he was local in New York. Didn’t like/trust him then and nothing has changed. I was there on Saturday. There might have 75,000 buses there!
“Theres no other place on or near the Mall for people to be hidden (except inside the museums).”
Have to disagree. It is reported that the streets leading to the mall and vicinity were also full.
Perhaps we should downsize BOR’s ratings too. This egoist thinks he has it going on....sink BOR on Fox and just don’t watch him!
Well, I was there and you can multiply that figure by 15, I don’t even listen to O’rielly anymore, he is a coward
the capital police estimated it at about 1.3 million, they say they have never seen that many people in D C
You can email this to oreilly@foxnews.com and ask BO to find an expert to count the crowd since his estimate is too low based on the evidence.
If he can find "body language" experts he can find experts to give us an *accurate* estimate of the crowd at the rally.
Well. I guess that just settles it then. O’Reilly is never wrong. < /sarcasm>

The blue lines are the limits of the panorama. Note that at the front right of the panorama you can see a barricade. The white line is a Google Earth "ruler" 360m long. I drew the red line as a rough limit to the crowd. I think you can approximate the area of the crowd by a 340m by 500m, less 100m by 200m for the pool. That makes 150,000 m2, and generously allowing 1 person/m2, that's 150,000 people.
I say generously, because this or any crowd thins out substantially away from the core, but this is not noticeable when viewed across the top of the crowd. I think 75k is a very realistic estimate.
O'Rielly know's he's going to get his butt kicked rating-wise by Glenn Beck, can't be giving him credit...
Actually, they have lots of control.
Have you ever walked into a restaurant, or theater, or auditorium, or other public place, and seen a sign that says "Max. Occupancy nnn People?"
Whom do you think enforces those capacity regulations? Those are often fire safety codes. Remember what happened at that nightclub in Rhode Island a few years ago during a Great White concert?
-PJ
You mean Bill O’Reilly, the clown who finally entered my NO Watch Zone this week?
Say, the DC fire department (that reported 60,000-75,000 attendance) wouldnt be a Union shop, would it?
^^^
Probably the statement came from the same firehouse that had a truck go by with firemen flipping us the bird when we were protesting Gore in 2000.
