Pumps increase the pressure of water into a boiler where is converted into steam at up to 3,600 psi. This high pressure is what "pushes" steam through the building.Right; it's like a mad loop, ever-increasing pressures every cycle ... no need for that pesky circulation pump on the boiler feed-water side right? After all, who needs to work with the 'latent heat of evaporation' anyway when you can simply pipe super-heated steam through a building creating a hazard for personnel through pip bursts or boiler explosions ...
I think you might need to explain how the steam doesn’t really just go to the ends of the system, but establishes a circulation pattern of condensation and flow.
If I have it right, the steam rises, and the condensate flows back to the boiler. Basically a gravity loop, but the pipes have to be sloped and installed correctly to do it that way.
A good, quick intro -
Steam heating systems generally fall into two categoriesolder one pipe systems and newer two pipe systems. Some of these are designed to operate under vacuum to speed up the flow of steam and provide even heating.I'd love to stay and chat, but I've go to run ...
Thanks for the update, Jim.
It was very informative.
“>Even religous post like the daily rants of Joel Osteen, (whom I detest because hes a fake getting rich off gullible Americans)is allowed to be posted on a regular basis but youre not allowed to refute anything he says.
You know that bugs me too; if there IS a doctrinal error [ie heresy] it SHOULD be addressed.”
I suppose that you could if you posted your own thread with the JO sourced and start a discussion. The point is that the devotional threads are closed to discussions. There is no point in dragging folks into arguments when they are simply doing their daily devotional.
Would you stand up and argue with your pastor/priest in the middle of the service?
Looks like my post #286 was correct:
“Debate of any kind is not appropriate on a devotional thread. They are closed, i.e. to be treated as if they are occurring behind the closed doors of a church.” -Religion Moderator
>Would you stand up and argue with your pastor/priest in the middle of the service?
If he was [teaching] completely wrong, ie Gnosticism, then yes.
Otherwise, if it was a minor point (such as an interpretation/communication issue) then I would talk to him about it AFTER the service. (And I have)
I suppose it would be more pertinent to ask if you would purposefully attend a service at a denomination where you disagree, simply to stand up and debate the disagreement. I would equate that to starting debates on the devotional threads.
You are still free to post the same information without pinging as a devotional, and then soliciting debate.
That is so awesome... ;)
