BRINGING BACK THE HUAC. thoughts? ideas?
http://www.capitoltparty.com ^ | Kurt Jame

Without being labled as "on a witch-hunt", or having the tables turned on us, could we initiate a resurrection of the HUAC?

This was the House Un-American Activities Committee that operated from 1938-1975 as an investigative committee into Communist or generally un-American persons or groups in the US.

There was also the Fish Committee of 1930 that was hitting the ACLU pretty hard at the time.

Also the Dies Committee, which focused on Nazi influence in America.

Surprisingly, many of these groups were started by prominent Democrats at the time. Ironically, prominent Democrats of today, would be some of the first people put on the list!

If we went at this in the right way, with the right leadership, it could be a simple nationwide exposure and awakening to the general public.

We would have to be very careful about the wording and labeling of such a list however.

I believe that somehow, a black/white list of un-American/American philosophy could be very helpful in our cause.

You are either on it or not.

1. Lay out the criteria.

2. Find the proper name that does not make us appear as witch-hunters or labled as practicing "McCarthyism".

3. Find a conservative, but nationally respected host for the project.

4. Compile the list.

5. Make is very undesirable to be named on the list.

6. Make it very patriotic and pro-America to be not on the list.

7. Find legal protection, to avoid slander or libel claims.

thoughts? ideas?

THE TRUE HISTORY OF A GREAT PATRIOT
The Late Senator Joseph R McCarthy
narrated by Mrs Larry Lawrence Lent, his secretary
published by The Government Educational Foundation, 1998

I am delighted to talk about Senator McCarthy. This is being recorded in April 1990, and that’s about forty years since I was with Senator McCarthy.

It is true; when people learn that I have been secretary to Senator McCarthy, they invariably want to know, “What was he really like?” To me Senator McCarthy was a courageous American hero. His religious convictions and his deep love for his country were topmost in his mind. He believed in our Constitution and the American people. He believed that he could help preserve liberty and justice by ridding the nation of its enemies........snip

I think Michelle Bachmann was right. There are members of congress who are anti-American and support a president that has ties with terrorists. You have the liberal media such as CNN, MSNBC, CBS who are eating from the Obama’s trough and FOX, despite Hannity and Glenn Beck representing the free media, aren’t getting it done. I think many Americans would love to see the background of their own representative and it would see the removal of many anti-American Democrats.

The next committee of this type will not be part of Congress - it will be sitting in judgement of them.

Great Idea!

Bring back the HUAC while the House is in the hands of Liberal Democrats.

Great thinking there. /sarcasm

If the HUAC was revived today, the Democrats would control it and they would define “un-American” as anything which deviates from liberal ideology. Rush Limbaugh would be given the death penalty within 6 hours.

Such a congressional committee would be a tool, either for the Democrats, or for the bureaucracy.

Instead, such an organization should be a private organization, that should document every individual and organization in the US that has sought its destruction or engaged in un-American activities.

They can create an educational website, and even a DVD video showing the links between scoundrels and traitors. A grand work and one that should not be broadcast before published in its entirety.

You should realize that such a committee in a Dem-controlled Congress, would focus exclusively on the "racist radical right"?

I agree. I think we have a number of things we can investigate BHO for.

1. Links with domestic terrorists. I.E. Bill Ayres. If Bush had links to Timothy McVeigh, the liberals would be all over him. But Obama is getting a free pass?

2. Electioneering. ACORN voter fraud ring a bell? I wonder who in the Chicago system taught him that?

3. Fraud. Tony Resko ring a bell anyone?

4. Natural Born Citizenship. Where’s the birth certificate BHO? Mr. obama of Kenya can’t serve as president due to the truth. A investigation would revel the truth for the nation to agree with us on.

As somewhat of a news junkie in the 1950s when if I remember correctly it was the CP/USA that coined McCarthyism and HUAC I'd like to say

It ain't HUAC

It's the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

House Un-American Activities Committee is like being called un-American today for opposing Obama and the Rat Party ( formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party.)

The problem is that the tables would be turned, that is a reconstructed HUAC (BTW, "HUAC" was a commie term, the official acronym was HCUA) would be investigating "unAmerican" conservatives. Those who call for reestablishing this committee are practically invited the Democrats (who are now in the majority to cut their throats).

BRINGING BACK THE HUAC. thoughts? ideas?

Which political party currently controls both houses of Congress? Who do you think will be defining what 'unamerican activities' are? What activities do you think they will classify as unamerican?

Rush Limbaugh would be given the death penalty within 6 hours.

He certainly would be imprisoned.

The party in charge decides what's Un-American. It's a real stain on our Republic.

Of course! Those who hold the levers power (e.g. the Democrats) will use any weapon at their disposal. It isn't like it had happened before. The initial co-chair of HCUA was non-other than a proven Communist spy, Samuel Dickstein. Dickstein used the committee to investigate critics of the New Deal. Please note that Obama has been perfectly willing to use Republican precedents such as signing statements and rendition.

There's no irony.

I remember Henry "Scoop" Jackson, Hubert Humphrey, Harry Truman -- I knew the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party was a friend of America. The Rat Party is no Democratic Party.

The difference is the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky hippie street rabble and their ideological issue (children)-cum-Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) are today's "Democrat" leaders and stalwarts.

(That ain't name calling. The Sixties Marxist-Alinsky hippie street rabble really have taken over the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party. Under the hail of "neo-con" taunts many Democrats fled the Party.)

OK. I understand. Yes the Rat Party (formerly the traditional patriotic Democratic Party) would investigate FR, et al. and talk radio.

Talk radio dares them. for example, Levin and Savage both openly begged the House to ask them to testify. I am sure there are many others, local and national.

Yes critics of the New Deal were investigated by commies and com-symps, pinkos, fellow travelers; the Great Sedition Trial of 1944 was perhaps the worst.

But as far as the committee goes, I remember the House Committee on Un-American Activities going after communists almost exclusively.

Notice that HUAC was disbanded in 1975. I am not sure of the exact year but the Church commission that investigated and eviscerated the CIA was in operation around about that time. Look at what was going on at that time, it was just after the Vietnam War and the anti-war movement had become very powerful and the Democratic party was leaning heavily to the left. No wonder HUAC was disbanded.

FOLLOW THE MONEY! You can’t do anything without money. In order to put the far left out of commission, we have to go after the leftist foundations and nongovernment organizations. The leftists targeted these wealthy organizations and turned their work from charity to “social justice”. They even go after our tax money - just look at how ACORN gets money from federal money. This has to be investigated. These are all political activities, not charities and they should not get our tax dollars or be allowed to get tax exempt money from foundations.

We won’t have to, the left will do it. The massive show trials, extrajudicial executions and imprisonments, and the other cheery aspects of a Stalinist state will be along soon enough.
