Great comment. Roosevelt took a two year-long recession and managed to drag it out for ten years. What a champ!

I live in Michigan.
****************************************
I saw a piece on FOX where some cops bought a failing donut store in Detroit and now they’re making great money selling to all their cop friends...

Seriously .. if you’re in Michigan and you aren’t politically connected you need to move or get into a job related to processing repo property or similar..

I’bet that Jenny will put a stop to that. How dare there be any prosperity for the serfs in Michigan?

I’m in Wisconsin, where business is actively discouraged by Doyle and the Dems - nearly impossible to start you own business, where existing businesses are fleeing, while Doyle touts bringing in a wopping 84 new jobs - 80 being temporay when our new “high-speed” (think turn of the century speeds) Italian-built $500 million train arrives.

They will be hired as soon as the state approves the whole idea and learns whether or not the rails from Milwaukee to Madison can be upgraded - but no matter we will have a $500 million tax-payer subsidized train which no one wants, and few will ride.

I was self employed for 30 years in WA, until the Libs, lawyers, and envirowackos made it impossible to earn a living.

I’ve already swallow my pride twice - and in Wisconsin getting a job is tough especially when one is over 65 and has no “modern” skills, nor money to go back to school with.

Staffing agencies here are a joke and maybe a scam, unless one can command a hefty salary.

Started over at 62, and now have to start over again at 66.
