A prison officer claims she was hounded out of her job by repeated criticism for being 'too sexy' and 'glammed up'.
Amitjo Kajla, 22, is demanding compensation from Justice Secretary Jack Straw.
The 5ft officer told an employment tribunal how colleagues complained that she wore too much make-up and that her clothing was more revealing than the standard-issue uniform, which had to be adapted to her tiny size-four frame.
One young inmate told her: 'Miss, you look sexy', prompting colleagues to warn the officer that her glamorous appearance left her at risk of being dragged into a cell.
Another inmate was overheard telling Miss Kajla: 'I wouldn't mind taking you back to a cell', the tribunal heard.
Miss Kajla claimed she was called a 'stupid little girl' by a senior colleague for putting her security at risk by sitting with prisoners during their 'free association' period.
She added that she was mocked by staff at Brinsford Young Offenders' Institution, in Featherstone, Staffordshire, for carrying a handbag and reprimanded for waving and saying 'hello' to inmates.
The remarks, often made in front of inmates and other staff, made her feel harassed and humiliated, she told the tribunal. 'I couldn't sleep at night because of the bullying and harassment. I lost weight and decided I couldn't take it any longer and resigned.'
Miss Kajla, from Wolverhampton, is claiming compensation for constructive unfair dismissal.

She is a fool for putting herself into prison with hardened criminals.
Uhmm unfair dismissal when she resigned?
Prison guards look pretty lithe over there.
Too sexy for her job ping!
I’m against “discrimination” and all that, but, having a small cute attractive girl working in a prison seems a mis-match. Legally, I can’t say, but realistically, prison guards and other prison workers should intimidate the prisoners, not make them “horny” or violent.
Legally, maybe you can’t only hire big beefy wrestler-type men, but these are the guys who should work in a prison.
Whoever thought it a good idea to put small young women in the same building as violent felons (who have probably not had sex with a woman for a long time) is a fool
Sounds like the prisoners treated her a whole lot better than her fellow guards. Do I sense a little jealousy on their part?
When she gets raped, she’ll sue. The prison can’t win.
I would let her ...
Nah, won’t go there. :)
She reminds me of the cute young things who always seemed to be teaching four and five year olds.
Philippa Maddox, a prison officer who took induction with Miss Kajla, said the 27-year-old did not follow advice regarding hair and make-up and claimed the uniform she wore was “snugly fitted”.
Wonder if he has any pics for judgement?
My wife has a friend from California who bought into the whole BS about it being okay to have women guards in men’s prisons... until one day she was accidentally locked into an area with some violent prisoners. Luckily she got out unharmed and quit her job the next day.
yeah it’s all fun and games til she gets raped.
Hmmm. Looks not guilty from here. Closer study needed.
Pretty, ugly, female, or male....What’s the difference? I’d suspect the standards for sexy are so low for most in prison it does make a bit of difference.
Obviously a scandalously revealing outfit that you’ve pictured. The poor girl will probably be dealt with very harshly by her local Sharia court!
Jealous? Are you a fool? The men in there are HARDENED CRINMINALS. She acted like she was at a meet and greet church social. If a riot happened with her in there, they would pass her around like a bottle of cheap whiskey.
The legal term is “constructive dismissal”. It applies to an employer makes your job difficult and/or dangerous in a deliberate attempt to make you quit.
Not guilty!!!
I’d let her guard me any day. Just go easy with that night stick, sister!
Yes. She should probably consider Accountancy.
of course, she probably wants to be a Lion Tamer or...
...or... A LUMBERJACK!
I’m too sexy for my body.
Some years ago the body of a female guard was found at southern michigan prison in jackson. She had been raped and murdered by an inmate in a stairwell.
I agree.
I mean, I can see her throat in that picture... and... and... her EYES!
Too sexy for her job ping!
On the catwalk.
The prisoners would treat her much “better” given the opportunity.
Small, pretty and fraternizing with the convicts does not make for a long or successful career.

Yeah, I can see where she should be nowhere near a prison.
She could guard me anytime!
They had a cute little 5’ grandmother guarding a violent criminal here in Atlanta a while back. It didn’t work out well for her (shot in the face). Or the judge (dead). Or the court recorder (dead). Or the guy on the street in the wrong place at the wrong time (dead).
IMHO, I think she’s just plain dim. When you consider the British education system combined with the entitlement mentality, you end up with law enforcement folks who are a far cry from Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple (I know they’re fictional).
What guard in their right mind waves to prisoners as she did? Definitely a future Darwin Awards candidate.
As far the beefy-type guys, a lot of them are already in prison or have felony records.
Undoubtedly the thought of filing suit and living off of the proceeds NEVER entered her mind prior to taking the job. Don’t all thin, good looking girls long to become prison guards?
Hardened? Hah! This is england, the land where they will throw hard time at you for being a big meanie.
"...at Brinsford Young Offenders' Institution"
I'm not sure what a young offenders' Institution is but it sounds like some kind of juvenile facility.
Are you kidding? In GB they IGNORE you unless you commit a violent crime. Look at what the police did about the career criminals who repeatedly broke into Tony Martin’s home... NOTHING!
Page 6?
We have a cop in rehab from bullet wounds delivered by an escapee wielding a gun wrested from a female guard during the escape; cop stopped the car for seat-belt violation.
Right here in Music City.
A teenager will rape and kill you just as thoroughly as a 40 year old, has more energy, and is hornier.
Did she get to keep the ‘bracelets’???
Look at those perfectly-manicured nails. If you’re her co-worker, and you need instant and very physical assistace, do you think you could count on her? I mean, to do more than call for help from the corner?
This girl is small, and if she didn't comply with the required uniform regulations, then they had every right to dismiss her. In my department, we were required to follow specific guidelines for uniform wear, and if we failed to comply, there were steps the administration could take to discipline you.
In my years of experience, I've worked with men and women of varying sizes and ages. Some of the biggest guys were the most gutless when it came to standing up to the inmates. Back in the early 80's, I met a new female recruit at Auburn Prison. She was 50 at the time, and just as small, if not smaller than this girl. Because of her age, the inmates used to call her "Granny," but despite that, they also gave her respect. She is now in her 80's, having retired several years ago. During her career, she never had a problem with any of the inmates.
Every new officer, whether you're male or female is tested by the convicts. They want to see what you are made of. If you're too friendly with them, they could take that as a sign that you are weak, and try to get you to bring banned items in for them, or violate other facility rules for their benefit. During my career, I saw male officers fall prey to that more than females, because of course, there are more males working in the system than females. As far as sex goes, there are plenty of homos in the system that serve that purpose. I periodically heard of female officers getting involved with male inmates, but I also heard of male officers getting involved with female inmates. It works both ways. One of the first officers who got busted in my early months at Auburn, was a male officer with 12 years on the job, who was charged with bringing drugs into the prison for the inmates. Of course he lost his job, and I've always wondered why people would jeopardize a good paying job to deal with the convicts.
I retired back in 2003, and haven't missed the job one day. The way the prison system has gone downhill over the years, I'm glad I was able to get out when I did. Albany didn't want you to do the job. They just wanted you to slide by without upsetting the inmates, or making them comply with the rules and regulations. In my 14 years as a Sergeant, I did my best for the officers under my supervision. I don't like to brag, but the male officers I worked with told me they'd rather have me cover their back than any of the male Sergeants on the shift. They said they could never count on them to stand up to the inmates.
Definitely not guilty ....of being too pretty.
I am studying for a degree in Criminal Justice. They have guest speakers occassionally and a warden came to give a lecture. First thing he said was “They will say anything and everything to get a rise out of you.”
This woman is an idiot for dressing herself up to be around a bunch of PRISONERS and expected them to act nicely? Lady, if they acted nicely they wouldn’t be in PRISON.
Not Guilty!
ay yai yai...!
yowser...i’m not a criminal, but I am hardened.
