According to history the prior 2 democrats who were POTUS cut both funding and personnel for both the military and national security departments. This is just a smokescreen to protect Pelosi and justify future cuts.
I think this is going to backfire.
The democrats are going to look to see what Bush did wrong and what Cheney was trying to hide.
And when they find out that Bush was just doing something sensible, they Cheney wasn’t trying to hide anything, and that the program wasn’t implemented. And everybody knew, it’s going to paint the democrat leadership as fearmongers.
Huh. Now silly me, I just assumed that the CIA was trying to KILL THE PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO KILL US! What the hell else would they be doing?

I am eleventy bazillion times more outraged that Panetta KILLED THE PROJECT than the fact that it was secret in the first place.
Panetta continues to burnish reputation as a political hack.
No they are supposed to read them Miranda rights and give them a big hug and then try to understand why they are trying to kill us. Then we should free them and set them up in taxpayer funded housing as a reward for how we oppressed them. (s/)
Yeah, I can just see somebody like (ex)Senator Joe Biden using this sort of sensitive information to fluff his own ego in front of the press...
And that during that admin we were protected, and I’ll bet during this admin we are bombed.
